This was fun. We did the winter train ride they have at Xmas every year. The train goes through a forest of old logging equipment decorated with lights. It is $12 for adults and 10 for kids. It seemed a little pricey for what you saw ... think they could have given a little more discount for kids as it was mostly adults. Still it was fun and the staff running the train were excellent.

Had a great time riding the Christmas steam train with the family. Place was very very busy this season but staff were very friendly and worked hard to make it a great night out. We have been before over the summer but the Christmas visit was much more fun... But cold, bring warm clothes to ride the train.

Christmas at the Discovery Center was pretty cool done this for the past few years the train ride is really neat and the lights are beautiful this is a really fun family event there is a craft in the school house and although we didn't go into to much on the grounds it was so very nice for Christmas. Opportunity for photos with Santa and live music that kids were welcomed to dance to. Really neat experience.

The Forest Discovery Center is preserving the history of logging and locomotives on Vancouver Island with interactive displays and experiences. Riding the steam or diesel engine around the track and over the water was childhood memory that I'm enjoying passing onto my kids.

Rich with history and culture of the forestry industry of British Columbia including antique equipment and original work shops. Renowned train ride is included with admission and an experience not to be missed.
