When was the last time you found food, service and ambiance that were absolutely remarkable? It's rare these days, but Bay Street Bistro offers it all. We were invited to choose a table, offered menus to peruse while we selected a wine based on several tastings offered. Tapas? Yes! Delicious? AMAZING! Oh my gosh - the owner stopped by to chat -Deanna is lovely. She ushered over her husband, Brady...Also our new friend along with Carla, the server who expertly attended our table. Recommendations for wine, for appetizers, our main entrees we had already selected. So reasonably priced it kinda blew my mind a bit. Followed this with scratch made cheesecakes that were to die for... the vanilla scented candles, exposed brick walls and beams, leaded windows, crystal chandeliers and piano awaiting the live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Don't miss out. This place is a must! Extraordinary! 10 stars on a scale of five
Wonderful ambience and fantastic meal. The staff and owner were all very welcoming. It was our first experience here but it won’t be our last!
Bay Street Bistro has the ambiance thats inviting and very welcoming. I feel like the piano is a nice touch and they have a ton of art so there is plenty to look at in this establishment. I'm a big fan of the old industrial look. I feel this restaurant would be the best in class except for the price is astronomically expensive two steaks will run you 82 dollars and then two glasses of wine and an appetizer will bring the price up to 100+. We only ate two appetizers and that ran us $30. I feel like they could reduce the price and earn more money. I hope this gives you insight into the price. I've wanted to go here for a long time and now I know why it's usually empty. I think this is their loss leader and their actual business is the apartments above.
This is a pleasant little bistro on the main strip in Port Orchard's downtown/waterfront area. Usually seems to have a decent dinner crowd, especially in the summer months when tourist traffic is up. Nice wine list and menu. We only stopped in for a quick bite just after they opened. The stuffed mushrooms are definitely worth a try! Went great with a Pinot Noir. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. We will definitely be back! Olympic Otter
A quaint, quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The food and drinks were delicious and prepared perfectly. If you are looking for a relaxing conversation over dinner and drinks with friends or that special someone, stop in and enjoy a different experience in Port Orchard.Food: 5/5
Thank you Thank you Thank you . I have been finally wowed by food in Port Orchard. I know the town isn't that big, but can we get some quality control at other restaurants around town? Let me first say that the staff is wonderful and attentive. A friend and I were at another restaurant and rang ahead to see if there was dine in service. We immediately tabbed out and rushed over to the bistro. This is the second time I've been to the Bistro. The first was bloody amazing too. Tapas were wonderful bacon wrapped dates, bacon brussels, and satay and the drinks washed away a summer of sorrow. The drinks are bloody amazing. Kaylie and Carla are magicians behind the pub. I'm generally not one for Old fashions, save for a few spots in Vegas, but this place makes an amazing OF. Their mules and random other drinks had us wanting more. Supper= effin said in a more Gordon Ramsay style delicious! I rarely order a pork chop from anywhere. The chefs seem to think that the hog needs to die a second death of dehydration. This is not the case for BSB, the pork chop was perfectly done. Juicy, salty, sweet, tender and they adapted it for my troublesome celiac* arse. Carrots and taters came on a separate plate and I gobbled them up too. Thank you Candace for impressing me. My friend gets Julia’s Boeuf Bourguignon. The portion is amazing , the scent, flavour, and presentation très fantastique. Not a GF item btw, but I've so wanted to dive into that plate each time I've seen it. Dessert=Do you think I had bloody room after that chop and a belly full of artisan drinks? Nope Overall I'm right impressed and will definitely return. Cheers The sausage guy. *Gluten Free for those who don't know
Food overall was good. Wife had goat cheese ravioli. It was as good as the last time she had it. I had smoked pork chop which was a bit dry. Also waited longer than we should have for two of the three drinks we ordered, the third drink all three were ordered at the same time took over ten minutes more to arrive. It was my daughter's birthday and we wanted to toast her. Very disappointed with that part. We went early and the restaurant was not even half full so slo service was a bit off putting. This restaurant = $$$$$
Great spot for a fancy date in town. Good food and great service.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
My ribeye was overcooked and for the price of 42.00 a ribeye that was literally thin and rubbery I would not go back .. it was literally a 28.00 steak
Very nice, quaint bistro in a cool laid back atmosphere. They're menu is a bit limited Covid still? but they at least have a chicken dish and a fish entree. They were out of salmon the night we visited but the halibut was excellent and cooked to order. They charge extra for bread & salad though... which when the entrees are $25 and up is kind of odd. They also need to have at least one non-alcohol beer on the menu. They do make a great Cosmo!! Cool jazz music for the dinner hour too They close at 9pm which seems a bit early to us but they didn't hurry us either
