What an awesome trip to Bass Pro Shops yesterday. As a newcomer to striped bass fishing, I walked in a little unsure of what I needed, but I walked out with the perfect setup thanks to the incredible help from the staff. Keenan was a rockstar! He guided me through the recommended rod, reel, line and rig, sharing his expertise and even teaching me a few new tricks of the trade. His passion for fishing is infectious and it was a real pleasure to learn from him. This is exactly the kind of service that brings customers back.

*Update - customer service reached out and rectified this for me. Thanks!* I purchased scope rings at the Dartmouth bass pro. I returned home, 5 hours away. Upon installing the rings, I realized that the package contained two different heights of rings. I contacted bass pro, they were zero help. Their only solution was to return the 5 hour trip to Halifax to exchange the item. Yeah, not worth my time or expenses.
This is one of the few stores run by huge corporations left where the people who work there are experienced in the things theyre selling. The people who work in the archery section actually do bow hunt. The fly fishing department actually fly fishes and some tie their own flies. Things are slightly more expensive here but the expertise of the workers is unparalleled. Great store.
