Bartlett Beach

I grew up near this beach, so I have real local knowledge of it. In the summer the current and wind bring a lot of debris to this area. The city is usually pretty God about cleaning it up, but not always. Sunset here can be amazing! With the right conditions, of course. Please pack out what you pack in and keep our beaches beautiful .

Great place to bring small children for swimming. The water at the rope is about knee deep on my 6ft tall husband. Both my 2 and 4 yo comfortably and confidently played in the water all the way to the ropes. There is plenty of beach space, some picnic tables, clean bathrooms, swings and some playground equipment.

Great baby to go to Wakefield with kids water is shallow until you nice extremely far out great place for a parent not to have lots of anxiety over kids getting hurt

Very nice beach and it’s right off the WOW scenic bike path. We stopped to admire the sunset and it would be a nice place minus the rift raft camped up company that we were glad we had bike locks. Definitely better than Roxbury, MA folks but I wouldn’t walk barefoot on the beach in fear of a needle exposure. We felt safe with police present

Lots of trash, broken glass in the water. A very sick person was screaming profanity with young children around. A big police presence. Probation officers wearing bullet proof vests were looking for someone. Don't bring your kids here. I hope it gets cleaned up. It is a shame.
