Barnacle Bill's

We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday in July. We sat outside to eat. We had such a great meal. We had the grilled Chicken Salad, Philly wrap, Fish sandwich, onion rings, Reuben and fries. Everything was delicious. The restaurant is very roomy inside and has two pool tables. They also have live music! A really fun place.

I had the bang bang shrimp bowl and it was absolutely delicious! My husband and I shared the blackened ahi tuna as well! Absolutely amazing!

There are some plusses and minusses here. On the plus side, Barnacles remains open almost every day, whereas many area restaurants are closed Mondays during the off-season. In general, the food is good reasonable,and served quickly. The menu is quite large, with something for everyone. However, lately we've noticed the daily specials have suffered quite a bit from shrinkflation. The wet burrito I ordered the other day I thought was a mistake of a nacho order until the waitress had to tell me that no, it really WAS in there. It wasn't good. They also had a boli and a salad special, where two pizza toppings get to be added. If there was a tablespoon of toppings in the entire thing I'd be amazed, either end were two solid bites of dough without a topping at all. Those are two things on the menu I'll avoid hereafter. Their clam chowder is to die for, so I'll be sticking to the tried and true from now on. We live in Tawas so eat here often. Location is very convenientif going to the movie theater, which is almost across the street.

Stopped in for dinner here and a few drinks. I had the Perch. Was a good dinner especially sitting outside next to the sidewalk. I will be back in the future.

We stopped in for a late lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and were waited on promptly. I had the Asain chicken salad with grilled chicken. The greens were crisp and fresh and the chicken was moist. Served with dressing on the side. I recommend this salad
