We were the area and were happy to find a Portuguese restaurant nearby. We ordered the family meal for takeout which should includes fries, rice or potatoes as per their menu. We decided to upgrade to a poutine not realizing that we lost the rice portion of the meal with the upgrade. This should be posted or communicated somewhere when a customer orders. I really did want to try the rice. The chicken was very moist, juicy and delicious. We ordered the piri piri sauce on the side and didn’t even bother using it. The chicken was really tasty by itself. The poutine and salad were just ok. Nothing too special. We really enjoyed our meal and and will come back to try other items on the menu.
This is amazing, I took the Combo #1 and the 6 Natas, what you see in the photo is my quarter of the meal. The chicken was perfect, fries delicious and the salad dressing was unique and tasty. I encourage you to support this local business that was brave enough to open during a pandemic. The prices are really good value. Let's keep this place open!
I definitely do NOT regret trying this restaurant! The portions are huge and the quality is excellent. I tried a few Portuguese restaurants but this one is pretty hard to beat
Food was ok but I think 43 cad for a chicken is expensive. I’d rathe go to Ma Poule Mouillé à Montreal. Tables and floor were dirty since we arrived and were not cleaned when we left.
Very good. Chicken was very tasty. Good smoke flavour from the charcoal. Piri Piri sauce was perfect. Will go again. Worth trying the difference from Benny'sFood: 5/5
Love this place! Haven’t eat yet in the restaurant but usually order by phone for take out. The chicken family combo and the sandwiches are delicious. The staff are also nice and the place is very clean.

Wow best poutine I've had in a long time. Pick the one with Chorizo and Piri Piri chicken. You will LOVE IT
When my husband and I moved to the South Shore, I knew that Portuguese takeout was going to be the food I would miss the most. While my husband makes some excellent bifanas regularly...not having access to papo secos and nata always prevented him from making the Portuguese meal of my dreams. Enter Barcelos: a family run GEM of a restaurant that has not only provided us with bread and dessert when my husband makes bifanas, but has also provided us with DELICIOUS Portuguese chicken and sides. The cod croquettes are OUT OF THIS WORLD. The bifanas are great. The chouriço is easily the best chouriço I've ever had. The chicken is flavourful and moist. The Portuguese potatoes are succulent. EVEN THE SALAD IS AMAZING. The nata are fantastic and always super fresh. Not only have I found myself craving Barcelos weekly, but I don't even think of the Portuguese places I used to go to on island. Thank you for opening, and I wish you years of success! If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
