I genuinely don’t like leaving bad reviews but I just wanted to share my experience. The staff were very pleasant, the issue was everything else. We ordered food, after about 45 minutes we were told that the oven was having issues. I’m not sure why they waited so long to tell us, after about another 20 minutes food started to come out. What came out was cold and also incorrect, I understand the oven wasn’t working but why bring out food you know is cold? I would go for a drink but that’s about all.
I have never seen a more hard working environment. Me and my wife went to this bar for the first time not knowing what to expect and there was many party’s I’m assuming. All I was noticing was the servers running around helping anyone who called them and needed something. Me and my wife ordered food and it was outstanding the burgers were huge and juicy! Bar97 is a place me and my wife could go once a week from now on to have a great customer service and delicious food!.
Such a nice place. They have soft tip darts, pool and a nice lounge bar. They also have bottle service which is nice because I haven't seen anywhere else in newmarket that does this. The food here is better than the regular bar food that I've had in the area. I ordered the chicken wings and whatever they use for their original breading is so good.
New bar around the area, felt promising so my friends and I went to give it a try. Food was great, standard bar food with a good little Asian twist, not something you see everywhere in Newmarket. Loved the wings, tender and big, the server was great and recommended the original flavour, which is their house specialty. We enjoyed the meal a lot. The POOL TABLE was a huge bonus to the entire experience, my friends and I loved playing pool while eating there. They keep their pool sticks and pool table in good condition. All in all, service was nice and friendly. We will definitely be coming back.
Came in last Tuesday. The place is nice but doesn't feel cozy. The service was very good, friendly and quick but the menu and beer selection was rather poor. I had a couple pints of sleeman Brown ale and it was very fresh. During sports game they offer $5 pints which is a good deal. Few screens to watch a game but the location of the TV's is not convenient and makes it hard to enjoy the game. I think the place has potential and with a couple small changes can become better. I will probably go back and give it another chance.
Came out with a few friends to grab a bite and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Food was really great especially the wings, and the service was friendly and attentive. We even got to play a bit of pool and darts after which enhanced the overall visit. We’ll definitely visit again.
The owners do a great job to make everyone feel welcome. I like that they host a multitude of different events -- from sports games, UFC, local bands, Paint Nite, and it was awesome coming to watch the live stream of Game of Thrones each Sunday. The food is well priced and always good!
Definitely would recommend the portobello mushroom burger- the patty is fried and stuffed with cheese and mushroom, topped with a pineapple and the house special chipotle sauce for a sweet and savoury combo that is to die for. The wings are great as well we got the original, very crisp and flavourful with just the right amount of spice. We got nachos to share along with other apps, everything was decently sized and the prices were pretty reasonable. Great food and great service, though a little slow but understandable since it’s a new establishment. There’s also a pool table and dart machines in the back to kill time while you wait for your food. Great environment overall, will be back to explore more of the menu!
Service is amazing. I enjoyed the free pool table! I ordered the wings and they weren’t those small cheep wings but the nice large ones. More than acceptable. Darts were fun! They have a huge screen that projects the main sports events which is awesome especially for ufc fights which is what I came in for. And they had it playing on loud speakers. All in all this place is where I would drink in Newmarket/aurora. Tbh
Came here on a Saturday night with some buddies in town. Had the wings here, which tasted great. Service was good and there was a good vibe going on here. Lots of things to keep you entertained. Will definitely come back to catch a sports game with a bunch of buddies or just to have a drink with some friends.
