I love the big trees out front, good food and relaxed atmosphere. The tortillas chips were warm and homemade which was a nice surprise. The Indian curry was a good balance of sweet and spicy. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and seasoned with garlic mashed potatoes. The menu said it came with veg, but I was given a tiny salad instead. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars. Service is reliably good every time I go. The drive out there is one of the prettiest in the province.
Hidden under beautiful old trees, on a quiet country road one is lucky to find this fantastic old Irish pub. Walk in and feel as if you jumped back in time and over to Ireland. The ambiance is wonderful, the decor perfect, the welcome warm, the service great and the food delicious. At any time during any of our 4 special Quebec seasons, I guarantee you will not regret the drive
When I went recently, I found out the place is now closed on Wednesday? So was pretty sad that we drove all the way there just to find out it wasn’t open. However, in general the pub is amazing, food is drool-tastic and the staff is always friendly.
Great pub bar..food amazing. Nice vibe friendly... candles not much light wich makes it cool when ya there with ya women..nic little place close to a spa too...just heads up very busy place need to reserve ahead...
Great old pub, great atmosphere, good pub food. I had the Guiness pint with the fish and chips, can't beat it! Sat by the fireplace, roaring fire, out in the country, love that place.
Just to good! Great ambiance amazing food. Family friendly. Just call before showing up, because it's too popular, so not to be waiting.
The Rockburn Pup is an iconic old style roadside country Pub that has been here since horse and buggy times. It has a tremendous atmosphere because of its age and location. It is a destination for many, many car and motorcycle clubs during the summer months so reservations are a must as it is only open Wednesday through Sunday. There is a large beer, ale and cider selection including some hard to get brands. The menu is large with a lot of pub type foods...a style of Guinness pie, fish and chips, sliders, salads, etc. All the food is delicious, generous in proportion, and well presented. Service is bi-lingual, friendly and helpful, although understandably a little slow at times during the summer because this place is huge and always full. There is seating inside the pub, outside on the covered veranda and there are tables out on the lawn. Parking is gravel, and can be a little tight because of the crowd, but the overflow just uses the road. An enjoyable experience and I know we will be back. Highly recommend.
Used to love this place but last 2 times i tried to go eat there the angry doorman refused us saying kitchen is closed one day at 4pm the other day at 3.30pm...and went as far as to escort us out to parking lot. Never again.
Publicly insulted a mother who changed her baby at the table.. however they have no changing tables in the bathroom.. I am shocked at the reaction of the staff.. we use to go often we will no longer be returning since it’s clearly not baby friendly. Shameful.
Always a great experience visiting the pub in Rockburn. Joanne and her staff make the place so homey and welcoming. Weather you're celebrating anniversaries, birthdays or just stopping in to have a drink it's always a great experience.
