Service is a little slow I had to wait a few times just to get my water refilled. The food was good I highly recommend the calamarata with raw tuna. It does have a kick to it so if you don’t like spicy this might not be yours. This might sound crazy but the meatball was very delicious!

Our first time back to BLG since the pandemic and couldn’t be happier about it. Love the vibes here. We had a table of 4 which made for plenty of food for us all to try. The star of the apps was the pickled tomato bruschetta, but the arancini and grilled prawns were also nice. The pasta carbona and bolognese were such a treat. Both are classics and were well executed, especially considering the bolognese was prepared gluten free for my wife. Already looking forward to next pasta night!!

Everything is great about BLG! the service, the starters, the people watching both staff and patrons, and every dish they make! I highly recommend sitting at the pasta bar for an up close and personal look at the kitchen and the expo staff, it's like a well piled machine! So impressed! Get the soft eggs and lobster bruschetta, you won't be sorry!

Food was unique and full of flavoring. Every dish seemed to have its own theme and the flavors were great. You could tell they’ve spent a lot of time on their recipes. Service was not the quickest but was very friendly. We went on a Monday night if that makes any difference. It was pretty loud inside from all the talking so it was hard to hear each other from across the table. Overall I would highly recommend this Italian place if you are in the area!

Bar La Grassa is a local favorite for a reason. The food is delicious the atmosphere is lively and the service is seamless. Classic pasta and Italian dishes that are comforting and impeccably executed. The calamarata pasta with ahi is my favorite dish. Who knew warm pasta topped with raw tuna could be so delicious together. The avocado and white anchovy toast is another favorite, as well as their crispy and pillowy soft arancini. I could go on, and on with food recommendations lobster and egg toast, red wine spaghetti! The cocktails are on the classic side, and their wine list is well priced $25 for a bottle of picpoul!. My wife and I enjoy sitting at the chefs counter on a date night. Reservations fill up fast so plan ahead.

I want to go back here! Me and my friends had dinner at the pasta bar and the service was friendly and awesome! The food was amazing too! We shared the lobster with soft scabbed eggs on toast and it lives up to the hype! Soooo good! The white beans and bread were also amazing.

I booked the wine room, which seats up to 14 people, for my birthday dinner - both the service and food were amazing. There is an $1100 food/drink minimum to book this room, plus gratuity, so you can basically order much of the menu and try a bit of everything, which we loved. Five stars.Food: 5/5

Wow wow wow. Bar La Grassa is a dream and I am incredibly thankful that my friends were able to snag a reservation during my short trip to Minneapolis. We ended up getting 5 different pastas, drinks, and a couple desserts and ended up sharing all the food. Out of the items we had ordered, the standout pastas were absolutely the Cavatelli w/ rabbit sugo, foie gras tortellini, and the squid ink . For dessert, we got the cheesecake and the tiramisu. The cheesecake was remarkable and I would go back just for the cheesecake alone. Top notch spot.

One of the best overall meals I've had. From the cocktails to the appetizers, entrees and dessert, everything was top notch. We left full but not stuffed, and completely satisfied!

Soft Eggs & Lobster is absolutely delicious. La Grassa consistent & never lets you down. This place is by far one the best restaurants in the Midwest. The focaccia bread is handmade and mouthwatering. Pasta has just the right of parmesan in the St. Louis ribs are to die for. Make a reservation asap- you won’t regret it!
