Really cool and trendy interior, sets a nice vibe for nighttime dining. We ate at the back patio which was very lovely. Our service was also top-notch. The menu has a nice selection of dishes and cocktails. 4 stars because the food was good but not super great. All in all, I would go back and know I'll have good food and drinks in a really nice atmosphere.
Loved the heated patio, it’s really warm & cozy enough that you can take off your jacket and just relax, if you are cold you can ask for a blanket which I found to be really thoughtful! As the name implies this is a great place for intimate gatherings as the tables are small and close together, perfect for sharing food. Loved everything we ate, the food & drinks came out pretty quickly for what was an extremely busy night for them. My only complaint is that we weren’t looked after too much, we had empty water glasses often, I suggest they give tables a bottle of water as well. Drinks are also pretty pricey for what I found to be underwhelming in their aesthetic.
Food was great! I'm Filipino and I love seeing beautifully plated food with Filipino ingredients and flavors! Cocktails were delicious. We ate on the patio which is dog friendly and our server was attentive and kind!
Love this place. Chef Matt is so cool. The food is amazing and the cocktails too. Atmosphere is great. Sort of has 3 different areas - the back, main area and I think they had a small front patio on the street too. Got a bunch of stuff but only really took one decent picture unfortunately.
Always open to supporting more filipino establishments This place felt more like a bar than a restaurant: loud music, dark inside, quick bite tapas, lots of alcohol available Nevertheless we ordered quite a bit of food Mango salad was nice and refreshing. The king oyster mushroom was okay, think it was just one sliced thinly into three pieces. Grilled squid and chicken skewers tasted like it was undercooked. Nothing particularly stood out as a must order/get dish. Its a fusion filipino inspired meal
Had a wonderful time at Bar’kada, really the food, the vibes and the people. I attended a friends birthday party as that booked off part of the restaurant for. The food came out a little slow because of full house but every bite made up for the wait! Everything was well seasoned and SO FLAVOURFUL i’m actually looking forward to going back with my boyfriend. The place was a little dark for my liking but It really fit the bar, night vibes, perfect for a Saturday night, there was also a DJ spinning.
Great vibe, food/drinks and service. Recommended for those who want to experience something different: live DJ nightly, attentive and pleasant service, fusion food. Menu is Philippine - Japanese inspired tapas and kitchen staff is very motivated to make your experience unique. Great memories.
We had a lovely date night at Bar’kada last weekend! We went with all tapas and each one was delicious, with ample portions we took some home. Highly recommend the chicken bites and the octopus. We also really enjoyed the cocktails, the service and the atmosphere. We’ll be back!
We decided to check out this spot and instantly fell in love with their food! They’ve got delicious Filipino fusion food but tapas style! Loved the flavour and freshness in each dish. The presentation of the food was also excellent
Absolutely love this place! My friend made reservations here and I didn’t know what to expect when I came but I was pleasantly surprised! They have a cute outdoor and indoor seating, we got the “private room” which is a table that has curtains that you can close for a more intimate experience. We ordered a bunch of food and drink items, everything was delicious. The only complaint I have is that there were a lot of pieces of shells in the oysters but other than that I’d highly recommend the kalbi beef and chicken wings. The dessert was delicious too. The DJ was playing amazing music, the service was fantastic and I’d love to come visit again!
