WARNING ***** WARNING ***** I placed an order with Banner Flower Farm/Fields of Dahlias a year ago. To date I have not received any dahlias from the Banner's and no refund (as promised to me by James Banner in June 2015) of the THOUSANDS of dollars I have sent to them. This is a BAD BUSINESS practice they take your hard earned money and send you NOTHING !!!!! No refund and no dahlias after dozens of requests were made.
NEVER SEND MONEY in advance of receiving any dahlia order from James or Patricia Banner.

We placed an order with Banner Flower Farm for 1100 Dahlia tubers, at a cost over $2500, to be delivered at the end of April 2015. They asked us for a full payment in October. After mutually agreeing to a 25% deposit, we sent a check, which was promptly cashed. Mrs. Banner was very cordial and helpful over the phone prior to placing the order; she even suggested all the Dahlia varieties to grow. In mid-March 2015, Mr. Banner sent an email asking for the remainder of the balance, which we paid by check. As before, that check was promptly cashed. Then, we never heard from them again.
In mid-May, we became concerned and then started sending emails and leaving messages on different phone numbers provided to us. Towards the end of May, we received an automated reply, stating, “Due to a family medical emergency, I will have limited access to the internet. James Banner”. We sent our sympathies and were still willing to accept the tubers in spite of being late in the growing season. After enough time went by with no communication, we went to the ASCFG, of which we are both members. We then found out others had similarly experienced difficulties as us on a smaller scale in the past. Immediately after our posting, Mr. Banner sent the following email, “Hello, I apologize for not keeping on top of communication with you regarding your order. I appreciate your heartfelt understanding during a very difficult time. A full refund is being issued for your order. Sincerely, James Banner”. After enough time elapsed with neither a word nor a refund check, we tried to contact them again several times to no avail.
We urge you to heed this warning before placing an order with this establishment.
