BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT GET YOUR MORTGAGE THROUGH THIS BANK!!!! Horrible Horrible Horrible customer service. On April 11th, we had an issue with our mortgage renewal. Summerside branch wont return my calls or messages on the matter and the contact centre keeps passing the buck to other people. I complained to the office of the president...almost 2 weeks later and still no resolution. If I could give them a negative rating, they would get a -5 stars for absolutely, hands down, the worst customer service from a bank that I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
Either totally incompetent or totally heartless or a bit of both, but they've been absolutely awful and useless to my girlfriend as she tries to get her late dad's estate in order. I recommend TD over Scotia.

My name is Eduardo and I just arrived in Canada a little over a month ago from Mexico with my family. And we have 3 weeks Living here at Summerside. At all times they were patient with me, since my English is not good enough to have a fluent conversation, also, in the face of my problem, they were able to help me solve the problem that my account had. They were always friendly. Special thanks to Lydia and Amanda. Sometimes, we as clients do not get the answers and solutions we are looking for, because the staff, up to a point, has limitations to be able to modify or give us information instantly. I think not everything is bad. I have visited Scotiabank of Charlottetown and Summerside on many occasions for paperwork, signatures and questions. And they have always been very kind to me.

Completely incompetent, rude verging on negligence. I went in for a consolidated loan and I was told they would get back to me, I am a customer, they never did despite calling head office and making complaint. It nearly bankrupted me. I went to RBC and received my loan the same day.
