I just had the worst experience trying to contact someone. All I needed was certain instructions to wire someone money to their BOA account.nnFor an hour no one picked up at the local branches and the phone systems would not connect me with any agents. Truly felt like I was dealing with a scam.nnI will never bank with them and truly urge everyone else not to as well.
I have tried for almost 2 weeks to contact someone in the bank for an URGENT matter but it hs been impossible... the only one chance that I had to talk to someone, I was sent to an IVR Interactive Voice Response that put me in and endless loop and, every now and then, being asked to input the same information bank account to get once more in the endless loop. An extremely deficient customer service that does not take care of client matters...not even when they are urgent. My problem is still unsolved...
Fast and friendly service with a great locationnEasy to access for Vermonters because it is only a few minutes from the border.nnThey do change a fee for check cashing if you are not an account holder but that is pretty standard these days.nnMake sure to bring valid ID and they will treat you well.nnI arrived minutes before closing and they promptly cashed a check for $5,000. The tellers are happy and the managers are quick to help them out with overrides.nnI've been going to this location for years now and I'm always happy with the quick turnaround.nnThere are great local restaurants in walking distance also.nnParking is easy to find and free for customers.
It is important to remember that whenever someone leaves a review it is usually because they had a bad experience. However, In my case this was the easiest trip to a bank that I have ever done. They were very polite and treated me with respect. Samuel was very professional and answered all of my questions.nnI was in and out of there within 20 min to setup and deposit into a new checking account. Easy 5 stars.
Seriously a cluster - the locks on their safe deposit boxes jam - apparently as a rule - so you make an appointment time, go there and wait while they confirm your lock is jammed and has to be drilled which they freely admit is a likely outcome. You’d think it would then be like getting locked out of your car and you would wait while they figured it out but actually what they then do is tell you they need to contact a preferred vendor to come and drill the lock and that you need to commit to come back another time when the driller can be scheduled -which takes them days to coordinate and weeks to execute. I assume they don’t tell new customers that the boxes don’t work but as a public service - I would assume that ledyard across the street has newer boxes - and banking services too actually - save yourself the hassle if you don’t need a national bank. And if you do have a safe deposit box there I would recommend clearing it out before you actually need to get access - because it could take a while - even if the key works - mine did a year ago - I think all the locks are failing.
