Fantastic food! We shared the Mac Daddy pizza and the Cascade Sandwich and both were incredible. Our sandwich was missing one of the items it was supposed to come with but was still fantastic. We definitely wish this place was open a smidgen later on week nights for a quick dinner pick up.
All the ingredients were super fresh. One of the best sandwiches I've ever gotten. I got the big sexy club. Enjoyed every second of it. It was packed so I wish there was more seating but other than that, no complaints!Food: 5/5
I have no idea why this sandwich shop has such good reviews. I got the turkey and cheese sandwich and it came with not a hint of mayonnaise, mustard, or sauce of any kind. Just dry bread. Too bad, because the rest of the sandwich ingredients were pretty good.
We stopped by Bangor Sandwich Shop for lunch during a recent visit to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful, food was good and atmosphere of the shop transported us back to Bangor of the 1930’s. We enjoyed all the articles about the Al Brady gang that were hanging on the walls while we waited for our sandwiches to be freshly made and ate our meals. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in town again.
Atmosphere is simple and uncomplicated, menu is straightforward. Food was delicious and well prepared, and the sandwich was plenty for my lunch. The folks behind the counter were courteous and helpful. It was my first trip to Maine and this stop was one of the best ones.
Just wonderful! I love their sandwiches. My favorite and highly recommended is the chicken salad sub named the Main Street. It is superb!!! Also their pizza is like no other around here. The sauce they use for pizzas and grinders is delicious. They are so friendly and accommodating! Wishing them years of success! I would give them 10 stars if I could!
We've been anxiously waiting for the Bangor Sandwich Company to open, especially after hearing they'd be serving Detroit style pizza. We're very familiar with that pizza and just looking at pictures we got very excited. I am happy to report that we were not disappointed, at all! In fact, I didn't even get pictures of the whole pizza's as we just dug right in! We are excited to go back and try other foods they are offering, but were very happy with the pizza!!
I take family and friends here to introduce them to this place. Never been dissatisfied. Great Pizza and subs. Does not disappoint. Friendly people and love how clean and old style of Downtown Bangor. And they have some great local goodies for after. If you have room. Definitely take a whoopie to go they're mini and available. I honestly can't say enough about this place. I wish it was closer. I live 40 mins away but have driven there just to eat.
Decided to eat here out of curiosity and was not disappointed! I was looking for a new place to eat in downtown, just somewhere I hadn't been before. The atmosphere is very cozy: small but welcoming. I ordered the Cluckin Bacon and Ranch club, which was made with grilled chicken, house made ranch, melted provolone and onions. Absolutely delicious! Service was friendly, plenty of interesting combos to choose from, and not badly priced for the size or ingredients. Not to mention great choices for chips and sodas. Loved it, will definitely be back!
