I love the trails here. It's a great way to escape the city without have to leave the city. Trails for hiking, walking, biking and snowshoeing and x-country skiing in the winter. There are maps posted on some of the trails, but they don't have "you are here" dots so they can be hard and confusing to read.
I love bringing my dog here, it's quiet and spacious enough that you're not constantly bumping into others. It breaks my heart the amount of trail making signs that are torn down, but I spend time here almost every weekend.
Great urban forest. Best wild woodland forest scenery I have seen. Beautiful to walk in Summer. Great for walks and runs with extensive trails in the over 200 acres.
Nice day for an easy walk in the woods . Boardwalk closed though due to Covid.
Great place to walk, jog, not sure if bikes allowed. Trails well marked. Map of trail posted at beginning of trails and throughout the trail. We visited from Tampa bay and really loved it. Fall leaves our favorite plus you can smell the pines.
Bring mosquito repellent! Best choice I made. It will save you from pain and suffering. The trails are nice and lengthy. Nothing difficult unless you choose one of the unkempt paths. There are maps at key points so you dont get lost. Finding a parking may be the hardest thing to accomplish here.
So many trails, clean and there is no way to get lost. I am having the best time walking with my sister each day.
A gem. How can you recommend a forest? The trails are well maintained if you want to go running, it's generally not too crowded and if you want to feel a little lost you can do so with any of the back trails
This is my favorite go to place for great trails, the beauty, peace & of course, nature. I've seen porcupines, deer, rabbits, birds. Love this place!
