I love love love New Mexican food. This is most likely the best New Mexican food in Washington State. The ABQ burger is really good, ask them to add extra Red Chili if you want it closer to NM. Also get the fries but make them Green Chili fries no Queso for the true NM experience. Lastly the brisket in red chili is legit greatness. Drinks were great including the Shrubs. Lucky to have this restaurant in Seattle.
Love this place! Have gone here multiple times, and the food & drinks are amazing. Lots of seating indoor and outdoor. Welcoming service and a nice atmosphere inside the restaurant. The items pictured are the Cornbread Pancakes and Wings. As well as the Rico Sauve Cocktail.
First time getting food from Bang Bang and we got their SRW special, the wings, and the vegan Mac and cheese. We got it all for takeout. So cannot speak to their full Covid precautions, but they did have outdoor dining and all the staff I could see were wearing masks; indoor seating was not permitted due to gov’t mandate. We were very happy with all the food. My wife really enjoyed the taquito that was the first dish of the SRW meal, they had a good crunch, good flavor and the sauce abs beans were very flavorful. The vegan Mac and cheese was excellent and honestly hard to believe it was vegan and not using real cheese. The wings were also good, I will say the sweet wings were actually better than the spicy. Also, by the time we got it home they were not super hot and crispy anymore. The duck leg main from the SRW deal was also very good as was the sauce. We were not totally able to see the Brussels sprouts as part of that dish, but it was still very good. Lastly, the avocado ice cream was good too. Would consider going back to this place and trying other parts of their menu.
My experience at Bang Bang Kitchen left me wondering a few things: first, is this Mexican food? And two, was it worth it? I live in the area and pass this establishment several times a day and my husband and I have been curious about it for a while. So, one day when I got off work early, we decided to try it out. Atmosphere was interesting, tables were decent, all the chairs matched, and there was a neat looking fake fireplace. However, if you told me this was supposed to be a Mexican restaurant I would be shocked. Since we went during happy hour we decided to try one of their small bites, we got the shishito peppers. They were really good, spicy and the crunch element was nice as well. However, shishito peppers paired with hummus don't scream Mexican cuisine to me. When it came to the entrees, I ordered the huevos rancheros and my husband ordered the enchiladas. Both featured a strange, dark, thick sauce that appeared burnt or forgotten at the bottom of a jar. Needless to say, it was unpleasant. Food was ok, desperately needed salt. Also, the food sas not hot, maybe lukewarm/tepid, and despite our waiter warning me about the top plate being hot, I had nothing to fear. My husband's enchiladas also came with a side of beans and rice. Both of which were bland, I would not be surprised if Uncle Ben had a hand in that side dish. Also the beans were whole, not refried which I guess is a "healthy" take on the dish, but most of the menu contains cheese so what's the message? Is it Mexican? Is it fusion? And if so, fusion of what? Confusion. We both agreed to never venture back.
Delicious and interesting menu. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Great craft cocktails as well. Stop by here for a good time.
This place is great! The staff is lovely and the food BANGS. The chicken and waffles are super unique and there are a lot of great plant-based options. They also have a great selection of tequila and mezcal cocktails. Vegetarian options: Lots of plant based options.
One of the best new spots in south Seattle. The food is amazing and the service is top notch. They might start doing brunch which will be a good weekend treat. Their blood Maria and micheleda are incredible too. Definitely worth checking out.
My wife and I loved this place and will definitely be back. The space was really quaint and we'll decorated. It had a nice outdoor patio area dog friendly outside too, it looked like, and the inside seemed pretty cozy with the fireplace. The service we had was also very prompt and friendly. But the real star is obviously the food you get here. We had the chip trio sampler, enchiladas, and the burrito, and everything we had was fresh, tasty, and plentiful. We definitely went home with left overs. The hatch chile chicken and sauce takes all the food to the next level. Highly highly recommend.
Ordered a few things off the menu, only one was edible but still tasted horrible. Chile relleno, nastyyyyy. The dip trio, it was so bad even the salsa left a terrible taste in my mouth. Idk how this place has such a good rating, especially when compared to all the authentic and delicious Mexican food nearby. Perhaps all the customers are super drunk; since the only thing pleasant was the drink I got.
Excellent food and drinks. The queso, salsa and guacamole chips appetizer is like none other I've ever had. Really the queso is out if this world. The salad that comes on the side was fresh and flavorful. Atmosphere is festive with a modern twist. My wife mentioned she didn't like nutty flavors so the staff took it upon themselves to make a very fine substitution at the bar with something more fruity.
