Beautiful National Park! This is a great place to stay, and just wander around town even if you're not visiting the slopes. Most people are friendly, and the stores are filled with beat goodies you can't find elsewhere. Our perfect evening is visiting the pub or bowling alleys, visiting the park sites, going up the gondola or just having a pint and watching the snow fall. We always see wildlife in the park, even if it's in winter or summer, and it's not a town you can cover in one day. Stay a few days and take in the nature, culture, and food!

Glorious outdoors! If you want to see clear blue-green glacier water, paddle into it, or hike around it, this is the place to be! The air is so fresh, and the wildlife is everywhere! You can make impromptu plans to visit the area for the day, but expect to pay a lot for a hotel (or even hostel) in the area, even with prior plans and booking. More than enough parking for any specific site, lake, hike, or river, just remember to buy a National Park Pass if you want to wander in or through the park!

Still one of my favorite places in North America for scenic photography. Was much busier and crowded than on my previous trips despite smoke from wildfires for the first few days. They need to have more parking for Moraine Lake now as it is impossible to get a parking spot unless you sleep in your vehicle overnight! Could use a shuttle service from Lake Louise or elsewhere to Moraine Lake. Not sure why they don't have one yet. They do have shuttles to Lake Louise from overflow lots.

It's a glorious natural place. It's unique however it's also well know and has a plethora of visitors. I didn't realize that it was a Canadian national holiday when I visited this time. It was not quite shoulder to shoulder but crowded. It's very beautiful but there were parking attendants and just too many people. I'm sure there are times when it would be more enjoyable.

What can I say that hasn't been said before a million times. Banff National Park is one of the most beautiful places on the earth. The mountains, rivers, canyons, and meadows are stunning. Wild animals are everywhere. The Park is mostly unchanged for thousands of years and will take your breath away around almost any corner. And because it's Canada everyone is so nice
