Lina and Laura Barreto founded Studio Bamboofit in 2007, after discovering the exhilarating Zumba fitness program in the U.S. They became the first Zumba Instructors in Montreal, and their team grew as their classes quickly gained popularity in the community. Originally from Colombia, the two charismatic sisters have always expressed their Latin culture through dance.
Lina did a Bachelor of Commerce in General Management at McGill University and Laura completed her studies in Exercise Science at Concordia University. They combined their talents to create Studio Bamboofit, a non-for-profit community group, with the mission of creating and promoting fun preventive wellness programs.
