The cutest café!! I got a cookie with my friend, and it was the perfect place to enjoy a little treat and take some photos. Well-kept bathroom, kind staff, seating available inside and outside. The patio was adorable!
I’ve never been to Balzacs before and found the one in Stratford to be friendly and welcoming. The light colours made the place bright and enjoyable. Loved the rooibos tea. We sat on the front patio although they had a quiet shaded back patio, too. The front patio was small so felt intimate. We were there mid morning during the week so the place wasn’t overly busy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I only had the tea so didn’t get to try any food although the display of large cookies looked delicious.
I tried their Hot Chocolate with Iced Brownie on the side. The staff member who took my order was very polite and provided great customer service. I went during winter holidays and it was very busy. This place is kid friendly as I saw some families with young children here. The Cafe was clean and well maintained. It's a great place to stop by while doing shopping and exploring the town. Will definitely visit again.
Nice place, nice girls, the coffe and cake is great!
Nice interior design but honestly feel like this store is overrated, they use premade hot chocolate powder to make hot chocolate, tastes worse than powdered hot chocolate you make at home.nnHowever I think the main aspect that somewhat ruined our experience in Stratford was feelings of discrimination against us as Chinese Canadians.nnDefinitely felt an obvious differential customer treatment on how their employees deal with Caucasian individuals versus us. Honestly just disappointed, hope you all do better! Guess diversity hasn’t hit this small town yet!
