Ballet Barre Works

For many years I have been so grateful for All the teachers and the uplifting music which helped to keep me sane through covid and beyond. Now that we can be back in studio, I can happily say the Ballet Beats classes are among my favorite form of fitness classes. Thank you for being so close here in Marda Loop at the St. Peter the Aleut church gymnasium. The wood spring floor is ideal and I know several thousand children over some 20 years have grown up taking classical ballet courses and training in this spacious room with its wall of mirrors. I cannot wait to take my next class!

Never have I felt so comfortable at a fitness studio. Never have I had so much fun at a fitness studio. I can't say enough good things about this energetic program. You pick up the skills fast but then there is still lots of room to grow and get better. My flexibility, posture and overall fitness has never been better. LOVE LOVE LOVE

The most welcoming and positive workout spot in Marda Loop hands down. No previous dance experience is required and the all the staff if eager to help with any technique questions you might have. I recommend starting with the $10 Ballet Barre Works Lite class offered on Friday nights if you want to learn more about the ballet positions, or Ballet Barre Lift if you want a challenging and entertaining workout without the ballet moves. This space is very body positive and the focus is on celebrating what your body can do through dance and exercise. Modifications are always offered before they are requested, which makes for a really enjoyable and inclusive class.

An excellent barre studio with a varied and challenging program. Instructors are enthusiastic, welcoming and well-trained. I’ve been a loyal member of this studios for nearly 8 years... The online streaming classes offered during the pandemic have been wonderful. Highly recommended.

I think it’s pretty evident I had a great time in Jillian’s McKenzie’s Barrebelles class last night because a few people commented that I was smiling the whole time! Although scared because I’m not a ballet aficionado, Jillian was a wonderful instructor and the music made it easy to follow along. I targeted muscles that I didn’t know I had, and definitely worked up a sweat – all while in a supportive class environment. Thanks for the awesome class Ballet Barre, and Jillian! I’ll be back!

Amazing! The perfect combination of ballet and fitness class! An incredible workout without the pressure of having perfect ballet technique. Rosalind is a great, butt-kicking instructor with an amazing attitude and permanent smile on her face. I have taken classes at the DJD location as well.

If you're looking for a judgment-free, dance-based work out that is fun and challenging, I highly recommend BBW. I've been going to both of their studios off and on for a period of about three years. All of the instructors are great, and the community is very welcoming.
