Unprofessional staff. Before, heading out to the location, I called Baldwin Bowl & Lounge in advanced about hookah hours and the young lady informed the consumers the hours of the hookah hours being Thursday, Friday & Saturdays. We arrived at the location from another borough. We was told the hookah hours was not the following hours given. Venue is pleasant but communication skills was very misinformed. Please review over your staff.
This bowling alley is an absolute dump. I'm 40 years old and lived in Baldwin my whole life. I used to be on a bowling league when I was 13 years old and bowled at this bowling alley. This was a good bowling alley years ago. Now it's trash. They treat it like it's a strip club. They check you at the door, serve overpriced alcohol, etc. I now go to maple lanes in Rockville centre. Wonderful bowling alley. Clean, friendly staff, family friendly,
I came here on a Friday night and it was nice. But I have been here on a Thursday and it was a party. If you want to party go on Thursday. If you a pro bowler go on Monday lol. The drinks are 7/10 could be better. The food is 7.5/10. They have hookah just find out when.
Great vibes for bowling with friends/family with good music. It's also a party atmosphere. The food isn't bad. The down side is the bowling balls are old and some are chipped. The interior could use a upgrade, but for $30 I look past it.
On january 8th 2023 i thought i was having my birthday get together at this establishment. Somehow my party which i prepaid $379 for got canceled . Baldwin bowl workers did not honor the fact i ALREADY paid with proof of screenshot and bank card and made me and everyone i was with pay $30 at the door to bowl. I was told by the female working the door i’ll be issued a refund right now it will take 3-5 business days . Ended up staying to bowl with friends so $30 x 11 people = $330 the day of not including Food drink and hookah my friends purchased . Service is slow food is cold drinks we’re actually ok hookah too but cleanliness HORRIBLE!!!! After a week i went to the establishment and spoke to the male manager .He quickly bushed me off and said “yeah i’ll process it i remember you “ ok cool so i left . I waited another week still no $379 issued back to my card. At this point i’m calling everyday and finally got to speak to the owner Brenda . She quickly reassured me i was going to get my refund and that she spoke to her 3rd party company that does the refunds for her that my refund has already been issued . Now that’s a complete lie i have my bank statements from january to now and there’s no refund . This place clearly promotes paying online when in reality you get to the establishment they won’t honor it , make you pay extra and never pay you back . never again !!
I went here on a Friday evening. I’ll start with the good. Music was good. Mostly 90s/00s R&B until they threw on R.Kelly… but nice vibe overall. People were mostly staying to their own lanes and enjoying themselves. The staff was friendly. The not so good… there was a couch in our lane. A full couch that we had to ask to be moved so we could you know, use the lane. Then they just moved it to another lane. The place itself needs a good cleaning and inspection. The lane was definitely slanted to the right. All balls rolled no matter how curved or straight me and my party rolled. The equipment was taped up making the balls get stuck when coming up. Everything overall just seemed run down. Overall, a good time but probably wouldn’t go back as there are so many alleys around in better shape.
Let’s cut to the chase, DO NOT GO HERE! Ghetto atmosphere, dirty bowling alley, overpriced drinks and food that are mediocre. Be ready to wait in line for 30 minutes plus regardless if you prepaid beforehand. Also knuckle up because you will get into 2-3 verbal or physical alterations while waiting in said line while the staff stand idly by and do nothing despite them having “security” Overcrowded and to make matters worse, you pay for 2 hours of playing but only get 1 because the lanes break down and they “can’t find the mechanic” Waste of money and time.
We were celebrating Birthday of our friend, so we were 15 people including kids. We had alot of fun everyone was very nice, place was well organized. Food was great it wasn't greasy and alot of food options, drinks were good too. We will definitely be back. Special shoot out to Richard Sasho who took my booking, was very helpful and took special care of me n my friends
It's very nice 9n Thursday night. Finally a party with no boring people and you can bowl. The line was giving us problem but we got assitance ever time Don't go if you're not dancing or having fun
The 2 star rating is because the bowling alley has been somewhat renovated. The sofas that are behind the lanes have replaced the ones that were torn & just plain ratty looking. The water stained ceiling tiles have been removed. The two things I dislike are these: The lighting is such that it shines directly into your eyes as you're sitting in the chairs directly on the lane. Second is the music, which was played too loudly, with foul lyrics. I understand if management wants to play it in the evenings when customers are adults. However, we were there at 2:00 in the afternoon, as were families with young children. I felt the music was very inappropriate in that situation.
