The service at this store is truly disappointing. In the past, most staff were friendly, but today was the complete opposite. The man who first helped me even forgot to arrange the propane tank exchange. After a long wait and a reminder, he impatiently replied, “someone will go.”nnWhen the tall, slim female staff member finally arrived, her attitude was unacceptable — not only unfriendly, but openly impatient. She opened the cabinet, shook it a little, and arrogantly told me to take the tank myself. Even though I still thanked her, she couldn’t be bothered to respond with even basic courtesy.nnWhat makes this worse is that earlier this summer, the temporary staff here were far more professional and polite — they would take the tank down, place it on the ground, and sometimes even help carry it to my car. Compared to that, today’s service quality was shockingly poor.
Chris was amazing! He went out of his way to help me find everything I needed and even carried a heavy item to my cart. Super friendly and approachable — excellent customer service!
What a wonderful experience at Bala Freshmart! They had everything we needed for a great cottage weekend, including a lot of local and Canadian products. The entire team is incredibly helpful and we’re very friendly and welcoming! I’ll definitely be back!
Cute little grocery store, very nice people, but insane prices. Great if you're short of something while you're at the cottage, I do not recommend for your mean grocery shopping trip.
Friendly staff and they fit a shocking amount of product into a smaller store. Don't always have everything I'm looking for but a great option for a small town.
