Baits Motel

About

Country relaxation and tranquility. Stop once and you'll be hooked!

Story

Our 60+ year old motel is spotlessly clean, and very affordable. The Baits Motel is flanked on one side by a cafe with great food and The Log Cabin Pub, the coolest place in town to take refuge from the heat. We have a few kitchenette units, and although there is currently no TV or cell service, there is free wi-fi available. The tranquil setting in this valley where the Thompson & Nicola Rivers join will make a true country impression in your memories when you continue on your journey.

We had a wonderful stay at Baits motel. The owner was a fantastic host, she made us feel welcome and ensured we had a great stay. Very clean and cozy room. We did not hear any trains. I would highly recommend this place and I would stop here again any day. Thank you for making our trip enjoyable with your hospitality.
It is a clean place even the building is older. The owner is maintaining everything in a decent shape.nThe trains can wake you up in the middle of the night but you will not find a quiet place on that stretch of the Valley.nThe TV has two channels...maybe I couldn't find the cable box.nIf you show up late, call in advance, the manager might help in the pub, the building behind the motel, between the Hwy and the motel building.nI am happy that I found a clean place to sleep
7 years ago I stopped here on my way to Alaska. Out of all the places I stopped at on my way from Oklahoma this was one of the most memorable. The staff was amazing and the motel felt like home away from home.
What a quiet, cozy little place . I'm staying for work in spences Bridge and am so happy they are here . Jon and Laurie have been nothing but sweet and generous with whatever I have needed . The room is so clean the bed is super comfy it feels like a home away from home !
Older buildings but comfortable, affordable and in good repair. The units are reminiscent of early Trans Canada Highway days or Route 66... and certainly pre-Coquihalla. I stop there frequently. Big horn sheep are found here hence the original motel name. The new name is a pun on certain Hollywood movies but favors the area reputation for steelhead fishing. The owner is not named Norman.
