Bait & Hook

I had the smokehouse burger which was cooked to perfection. The seasoned fries were fantastic as well, and I heard zero complaints from others about the food. All was excellent. They were very accommodating for a seafood allergy in our party, and made sure not to cross contaminate. Service was excellent. One small complaint was the pop, which doesn't mix right in the machine, leading to a not so great taste. But other than that, everything else was splendid. Thank you bait and hook.

I've been here twice, as of the posting of this review. This is a very high class establishment. The food is excellent, & the owner is a wonderful individual. He cooks, and also comes out to personally greet you! I've never experienced a higher class of service, & I've eaten at some of Minnesota's top restaurants. (like $100.00 per plate level) I hope this establishment is here to stay. Being in a rural area, it's tough for restaurants to survive, and we desperately need the level of quality and class that Bait & Hook provides.

Oh my goodness!! Food is amazing! I had the smokehouse burger and although it was DELICIOUS I could only eat half! I also got to taste the lobster roll-again, AMAZING and my 12 year old boy was more than satisfied/full! Bloody Mary was one one of the best I’ve ever had! Our server was very personalble and the chef came out to check on our satisfaction! Will definitely be back!

A well worth the drive experience.. Great place to enjoy dinner if your looking for a new place to try. The food and the service was excellent !

Our first visit was so disappointing that we had not been back. We finally decided to give it another shot because we'd heard things had improved since our first time. We did not have reservations but were able to be seated within 20 or so minutes. Our appetizers came quickly. After some time one of the servers came by to see if we wanted to try some dessert.....we hadn't received our main course yet! It took over 40 minutes for our meal to come. All four of us ordered ribeye and shrimp. Three of the ribeyes were warm, one was not. All of our shrimp was cold. The owner came by to see how our meal was and she was told the above information. No one at our table wanted to send the meal back to be heated, we just wanted to eat. We ended up with an abundance of attention, which we didn't want. The chef came out with a plate of "steaming hot shrimp" which we felt like was a snarky response to our concern. The owner brought our bills and said they credited our appetizers because we weren't happy with our experience. We dine out a lot and will not be returning for a third time at Bait and Hook nor will we recommend the restaurant to any of our friends or family. Two bad food experiences at an expensive (for the area) restaurant is enough.
