Burgers were amazing, but the atmosphere wasn’t to our liking—too dark and too bar-like. If it was a little brighter and a little more family friendly, I would totally give it 5 stars.
This is one of the most underrated restaurants in the area. My favorite go to is the Friday fish fry.. As a Wisconsinite and foodie, as well as former restaurant manager, it's hard to find A fried Cod that will be this one. It is the perfect combination of savory fresh fish and delicious batter. The potato pancakes are also homemade and amazing. Most restaurants have frozen preformed pancakes and use frozen Cod. Badger Burger does not. Everything is fresh and of good quality. I've had many fish fries at other locations Across the state, and none can beat this. I've also been there on several Fridays and the cooking is always the same. If you add on an extra piece of fish and potato pancake you have plenty of food for 2 people. The quality is impeccable. I'll be there every Friday.
Food is fantastic but the service could be better. Our waitress seemed irritated to deal with us even though she was standing off to the side doing nothing when she wasn't at our table. We asked for A1 and ended up having to go over to the bar and ask for it ourselves. No big. I felt like I shouldn't have taken half of my wrap home because it inconvenienced her so much. Food is great, but hopefully, next time, we get a better waitress.
Honestly for specializing in burgers, they were okay. They have great concept for all the different choices but lacked in execution, my burger was cooked right but flavorless and kinda dry for medium rare. Definitely a place for drinking and apps, rather than sit down dinner. Staff was friendly and attentive though which is always great:
Can get a little noisy when busy. The food especially the fish has been great. Service has been great even being short handed, It's not fast food drive thru it's going to take a bit so set your phone down and talk to who you're with. RELAX. The bloody Mary's are great I feel bad about ordering one, I know it takes longer to make. Love the shrimp lover's. Need to try it.
Absolutely LOVE this place! The food is always delicious no matter what I've gotten, the drinks are great especially the Bloody Mary's, and the wait staff is always friendly and helpful! Great for a get together or even a date night! We've gone with friends that have kids and they are always accommodating, have a good kids menu, and they're great with the kids!
We stopped in for the first time tonight, admittedly a blizzard, around 6pm, but the place was maybe 1/4 full basically dead. After waiting over 40 minutes for our food, it was sub par at best. Pretty much any other bar or restaurant within 50 miles would’ve been better. Fries were literally cold. One of our sandwiches was cold and made wrong but they did fix it. We did pay in full, server was very nice, I tipped her well but we will never be back. The place dresses itself up as a higher end lake country bar and eatery but fact is this place falls somewhere between McDonald’s and the worst Applebees you’ve ever been to.
Wait for a table wasn't long. Sat 5 adults at a booth. Server Angel was horrible. Not attentive, order wasn't correct, food took forever and was barely luke warm when we got it. Saw him a total of 5 times all night. Asked for refills, didn't bring everything, then had to have him tracked down to get what was needed. Took 20 minutes to get our check. All in all terrible impression on our first and last trip to this place. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all. Parking: Terrible parking situation. Wheelchair accessibility: Not really wheelchair accessible, only thing a plus for those with a wheelchair is ramp into building. Only hightops where wheelchairs can get too
Had a great meal, many items to choose from. Our waitress said she was new but if so she has a great career ahead of her, she was fantastic. Food was great. Fun interior and the album covers on the ceiling were a really cool surprise. Lot of TVs with games and great 80’s music videos will be really great someday when sports are normal again. Definitely recommend and we will most definitely be going back.
This place was good the first time I was there. Saw some things on the menu I wanted to come back and try, fast forward to tonight... We were told it would be 10 minute wait for 2 people. After 10 minutes, we were offered a small hightop cocktail table as our dining table, squeezed between the ATM and the hostess area. We aren't obese but my husband and I are not small, and we typically eat multiple plates of food. We asked for a bigger table, seeing a 4top and two 6top tables open and cleaned. We were told that the 4top was for a reservation and they couldn't move that reservation to a 6top incase two large groups come in... we were the only people still waiting to be sat... so we left...
