Our favorite place when comes to French food, good vibes overall. Great wine selection, friendly owner and staffs. We always order escargot and like to try their special of the day. Photos are from our couple visits. I like to go there in the summer where we can bring our dog to enjoy the food and live music.
We really enjoyed our Coulotte Steak and Prawns. The dinner salad, bread, and scallop potatoes were over the top delicious as well. Our Server Kimberly told us that Tuesday's and Thursday's they have live music! They also serve Prime Rib on Thursdays. It was really a fun place to dine.
How do you describe an experience that combines delicious food, superb service, cozy warm atmosphere, and amazing wine? There are simply no amount of stars or words that can adequately reflect how amazing this place is. Our server, Josh, was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Our food was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant without feeling stuffy. The wine library is impressive and Josh recommended perfect pairings for each of us. The meal felt like an event, with items coming out at a perfectly timed pace rather than everything coming out right on top of one another. It took us about two hours to get through appetizers, entrees, and dessert, and that was SUCH a nice change of pace from the overly rushed and busy experiences that restaurants usually provide. It makes you feel like family! It was a perfect evening and there’s not a thing I would change about our experience. We will be back! Pictured: Special veal shank.
Beautiful atmosphere! You don't need to leave the country to visit France when you are here! The food is delicious and the side bread is amazing. The fresh cream whipped butter comes out on a cute seashell! the chocolate mousse was smooth and perfect!
A true 5 star experience. This isn't simply a five star rating from me, this place, which I have written about before continues to impress. The escargot and baked camenbert are can't miss. Probably the best escargot I have had in memory. The signature seafood pasta was delightful and massive. Impressive wine selection, great in house baked bread, and steaks that are just outrageously good. Combine this with a classy but not overwhelming atmosphere and stellar service, this place is a French food destination that elevates the Treasure Valley in an important way. This is not cheap by any means but the quality, care, and ingredients make it a bargain for what you recieve. Reservations are probably wise, especially ok weekends. Excellent parking in a quiet area also makes it a stress free dining destination. Expect to order your entire meal including appetizers at once and have it paced for you, this is a place for a leisurely relaxing dinner designed to be an experience. Keep up the great work Bacquet's Parking: Very easy place to park.
Absolutely the BEST French cuisine we have ever had and we have eaten in France quite a lot! The French onion soup, salmon and escargot were the best we have EVER had!
Again Bacquet’s does not disappoint. The food was amazing. I was very concerned because it’s Christmas Eve brunch and my mother is very picky. We had brunch at Bacquet’s and my mother loved it! It was a hit! We had wonderfuly fresh seafood with classic French flavors and delicious wine. My spouse had the steak and was very impressed by the char on his Kobe along with the tenderness of the meat interior of the rare beef. I am a seafood gal and enjoyed my Oregon crab stuffed crepe. We also kindly asked the server for a wine cork for my mother’s homemade ornament and Mrs. Bacquet opened a bottle of champagne from champagne France for us to try and have the cork to make ornament out of. The food and the staff were amazing, if I could recommend one restaurant in Boise with genuine food and even more genuine hospitality it would be Bacquet’s!
I am shocked that it took me a year and half to find this little piece of perfection. The food, the wine, the ambiance, and the service all converge to make just an incredible experience. Our first time is but one of many. Merci beaucoup!
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Bacquets for our son's birthday. Had four appetizers escargot, fondue, flatbread and onion soup. All were excellent. Meals were equally well prepared. Great food, mixed with the atmosphere, kindness, and attention to detail of the owners, made for a wonderful evening.Food: 5/5
I hadn't had proper escargot in ages and this place does it right. The duck was also perfect and not in small portions. Also fantastic wine.
