Backyard Retreats completely renovated our backyard with patio, kitchen, fire pit, and second story deck. They exceeded our expectations in every way. The initial cost estimate was spot on with no surprises along the way. Tyler, Ricky, and every single member of their crews were total pros with excellent communication and workmanship. We had a pretty clear vision of what we wanted and they were focused and attentive on making sure everything was as we imagined. They were happy to call their guys back to make any tweaks that we wanted along the way. I probably sound over the top, but I’m so impressed with this team of good folks and wish everybody I did business with had their work ethic.

Backyard Retreats is first class from start to finish. They are punctual, hard working, creative and considerate. Crews practically lived here for a month taking advantage of good weather days and bad. Before they could begin the covered deck, they had to first remove a wood deck and pergola built by the owner of Backyard Retreats 22 years ago. No problem! We highly recommend Backyard Retreats and love our covered deck.

Great customer service and excellent collaboration! Bill just finished up a covered patio for us near the pool and it came out great. They helped up front with the design pointing out several things that I had not thought of. They were flexible when we needed to move a couple outlets during the wiring phase and they maintained excellent communication throughout the project about timing and expectations. Highly recommended contractor and would definitely work with them again.

Backyard Retreats just finished an excellent deck for my wife and I, with a unique bench, planter box, fence, and gate. The decking is Fiberon composite decking and the other elements are all cedar. The final product is beautifully done - exactly what we were hoping for. I had several contractors provide estimates and Backyard Retreats was the best - not the cheapest or most expensive, but as far as I could tell the most competent in composite decking and in anticipating the challenges of our particular space. Email responses were very quick usually within an hour, never more than a day, the written quote was clear and professional, conversations were friendly and helpful, and I was able to continue communicating with the same person throughout quote, build, and pay. The team that showed up to build was awesome. They worked quickly, but without cutting corners. There are hundreds of small decisions that are made throughout a project and they did the right thing every time. Our deck is sturdy, square, and professional. The guys on the build team were courteous, answered my questions, and kept the space clean while they worked. When we weren't quite happy with the way the fence looked after they finished, they did the rework without hesitation. Seriously, when they were just a couple of nails away from finishing, we said we didn't like the look and they pulled 40 boards back off the fence and added a 1" gap between them without a second thought. Good guys. We are very happy with our choice to have Backyard Retreats upgrade our patio - great work!

Michael and the backyard retreats team were amazing. It doesn't matter what you want or what you can afford Michael will 100% work with you every step of the way. After my consultation visit we were able to narrow down some options and work out the details stress free. You can be completely honest with Michael about what your plans are and he is more than willing to cater to your needs. Lastly, the finished product turned out beautifully. Not only do they deliver excellent customer service, but they give you an incredible product. There is no doubt I will be using them again in the future. We love our new patio!

I would highly recommend Backyard Retreats to anyone interested in a new patio. I had 2 patio's done by Backyard Retreats. One was an existing patio that required a LOT of work to level it It needed to be raised as much as 5 inches in one area as well as leveling low spots which held water. Backyard Retreats used re-bar and concrete to raise the patio to the correct levels, made sure the angle was perfect so that it drained properly and then installed Travertine to complete the patio. They did an excellent job - very professional and completed all work earlier than expected. Their pricing was very fair. If I have any other work done in my back yard I won't hesitate to call Backyard Retreats to do the work.
