TLDR: Absolutely wonderful place to get some quick, tasty food! While going on lunch one day, I was asking my coworkers for a nice option around, and one of them recommended this place! Best decision ever. It's always an easy in-and-out when I order online, and the staff is incredibly friendly!! The place is always spotless, and right when I walk in the door there is usually someone there to help me. The prices, this day in age, are incredibly reasonable for what you receive. If you're looking for a new place to grab something to eat, definitely add this one to the list of ones to try.
Stopped in for lunch today Saturday. The service was very quick and friendly. The main options are pulled pork, beef, and chicken. I ordered the BBQ beef sandwich and highly recommend it. The beef was perfectly tender; not chewy or tough. The Flatbread was warm and toasted, and the BBQ sauce was a great flavor as well. I highly encourage those who are looking for lunch outside the normal fast food to give Backyard BBQ a taste. You won't regret it.

It was definitely a lot of meat for the price, but I have to admit to being a little disappointed when I opened the lid. For starters it’s 2019 and no one should be serving in styrofoam; moreover, I didn’t get this to-go and it came on a food tray. I figured if I got some smoked meats it’d come out on a platter / tray and I’d actually be able to see all the effort that goes into truly making great smoked meats. But I opened the lid and it was just three big piles of meat, each doused in bbq sauce. My guess is the meat was reheated on the flat top and rather than drying it out they heated it with sauce. But with brisket, I was hoping to see a nice smoke ring around the beef. It just resembled pulled beef. The chicken was by far the most disappointing. This was straight baked chicken breast extremely dry that had been cubes up and tossed in bbq sauce. As another commenter mentioned, the sauce is a little too sweet. That in itself isn’t bad if you had other sauce options to counter the one offering. Perhaps a Carolina style mustard bbq or a sauce with some heat. I don’t like giving a place a poor rating because it is someone trying to make a living. I think a little more attention to food detail and this place goes from OK to great. The space was cozy and clean, the staff was friendly enough. I’ll come back again soon to see if things change.
Ordered a "beef mac bowl", the beef was pretty good but there was hardly any macaroni. When I asked about it, they said they "measured it 50/50 on a scale" : By the name, I kind of thought it would be 1/4 lb of beef on a big pile of macaroni... It didn't even come in a bowl, it came in a burger take out container. I'm just a sad macaroni lover.
If the owner is reading these, please heavily look into what you're doing with your meats and how you're cooking them, particularly the chicken and remember to properly season every item you make. Something needs to change. I'm giving this rating strictly on the food that I ordered for first time there. The dining area and restrooms were clean.

Sandwich was great! Took it home and ate. Will be back. I forgot about this place during the pandemic. We were regulars when our sons were in sports. Good tasting food.
