With epic views around every bend, the River of Golden Dreams features lush, old growth forest and wildflower-lined banks, as well as stunning snow-capped mountain vistas. Let experienced guides give you paddling tips while sharing their knowledge of Whistler’s fascinating history, geography and wildlife – or head out on a solo tour.
At the end of your scenic excursion, we shuttle you back to Whistler Village or Lakeside Park. This is truly a trip you don't want to miss and Whistler's original and most popular summer activity. You can’t say you’ve been to Whistler until you’ve paddled the River of Golden Dreams.
Backroads Whistler at Lakeside Park is Whistler's Paddle boarding centre where eyou can rent paddle boards by the hour to explore Alta Lake and the River of Golden Dreams. We also offer canoe and kayak rentals, pedal boats and a food concession. Lakeside park is one of Whistler's most popular summer hangouts with a sandy beach, swimming docks, a large grass area for sunbathing, picnic tables and barbecue stands.
