We used Axess Law in the purchase of our home. They were recommended by our agent. Our experience with their staff was professional, courteous and prompt. They answered our questions and helped walk us through the process of the purchase. Their fees were reasonable and in keeping with other home purchases we have made around Ontario and there were no surprises in the final costs. I highly recommend using Axess Law for the purchase or selling of your home.
When we called the law clerk she had no idea who we were and was extremely confused which caused us confusion we were exchanging emails previously and I called to get clarification. I gave her the exact day and time she emailed me and she was still confused. This was extremely stressful for us as we are first time home buyers and are not familiar with this process. It also completely lost our trust. She was not able to answer our questions and if she tried to answer them she was very brief in her response, even when we asked for clear details. It felt like we were being annoying and pestering her rather than being treated professionally like paying clients. I am very disappointed in my experience and would not recommend this service. I typically do not leave reviews but this was unacceptable. This was the biggest financial decision I had to make buying a home and The staff did not make me feel confident or good throughout. I felt like a burden rather than a client. Even now that the process is done I am still unclear and confused about everything I did with the lawyers to get this home, nothing was explained to me. That being said, the very first person we spoke to that reviewed the status certificate was nice and we felt confident with his knowledge and ability to support us. The person that signed with us was also nice , but any questions outside of the papers we signed she directed us to the law clerk. Unfortunately the experience with the law clerk was so unpleasant that it really tainted the rest of the experience. Even now that the deal is done I Am having issues with property tax because information was not communicated. Now I am stuck paying penalty fees and interest. Very disappointed.

I have been a realtor for 35 years and the experience I had with Jasmeet and Jasmine at Axess Law Toronto rates as on of the best lawyer experiences my team has ever been through. We had a tough situation with the buyers not getting their financing and wanting to extend the closing. Jasmeet was stellar and did a phenomenal job of steering this through to completion. In addition to getting a difficult job done, the communication along the way and the care and kindness was fabulous. Worth at least 5 stars - thank you all!
This was not a smooth deal from the start. However, as some things cannot be helped, other things should not have happened I question the person’s knowledge who looked after my home purchase as to their knowledge/experience The lack of communication was a major issue. Not once, but twice I was advised I would require to provide additional funds. Follow up phone calls were not done a few times. And the icing on the cake was that I found out from my real estate agent that the house had closed - long before this firm let me know. As I was driving and had to travel 15 hours on the day of closing I expected that I would be able to rely on this firm getting the job done efficiently I do want to say that the gentleman who did the virtual signing with us was great. Will I use this firm in future - probably not and definitely not with the clerk who looked after us.
We had a great time working with Axess Law who helped us buy our first ever home. Buying your first property can be overwhelming & a ton of questions pop up, but the team of Andrea, Layla and Lorraine was extremely professional, great at what they do & answered all our questions to our satisfaction. The process of filling out all paperwork was really good too & we got all formalities done remotely without any issues. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for real estate lawyers.

The Real estate department in Axess law is absolutely the worst real estate law firm I ever have to deal with. I have been in real estate business for over 8 years, interacting with over a couple dozen real estate law firms before but Axess law is the worst of the worst. On two separate occasions I had to contact them to send purchase deposits. I called their department during the day and left numerous messages, nobody answered the phone and I only got a call back two days later when it’s way past 24 hour deadline to submit the deposit.
