I’m very disappointed with my experience at this store. When I purchased my pair of lovebirds, the staff specifically instructed me to hold the birds in my hands every day to tame them, assuring me this would make them friendly and comfortable with people. I followed those instructions carefully, but the exact opposite happened. The birds became increasingly stressed, more aggressive, and now appear fearful and withdrawn.nnAs a new bird owner, I relied on the guidance provided by the store, expecting professional and responsible advice. Instead, the recommendations seem to have harmed the birds’ well-being and made the bonding process much harder. I now have to spend extra time and effort trying to rebuild their trust, and I’m honestly concerned about their mental health.nnI strongly encourage the store to provide more accurate, welfare-focused guidance to customers purchasing birds, especially beginners who depend on proper information. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend buying birds here.
Great and experienced staff, they always pick up the phone fast and answer any inquiries you might have. They have a variety of birds, toys, accessories and foods in store. I recently purchased a small cockatiel and everything went smoothly she was taken great care of. I highly recommend purchasing your pet bird from Avizoo.
I waited until the day it happened to write about it and today, my cockatiel Jugo, purchased from Avizoo, passed away. When I first visited, the cockatiels were marked as reserved, except one isolated in a cage with budgies far from the rest. I asked about him and he sold him to me without any warning he also sold me a broken travel cage. Later I learned the reason for the isolation. He had Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease PBFD, a contagious and often fatal viral disease.nnI do not regret taking Jugo home and he was the best bird anyone could ask for and with everything I know I would free him from that awful cage he was isolated in even if i knew the outcome. My wife and I gave him love and comfort until the end. 2–3 months after we took him home, his feathers fell and his weight dropped, the vet confirmed PBFD. We accepted that his time was limited, and today we said goodbye.nnThis is not about regret it’s about awareness. No family should go through this. Based on other reviews I’ve read, I expect the seller will deny responsibility. That’s your decision as a buyer whether to believe him or not. I only ask you to think twice before putting yourself in our place. Pay an extra 200-300$ and get yourself a healthy Bird, you should be able to love them for more than a decade not 2 years… I would sure as hell pay thousands to have Jugo with us right now.nnEDIT: Even though i expected this type of reply from you, i still feel uneasy letting you think you can lie to people further and get away with it so here are all my proofs of purchases. I hope they help you sleep at night. Just in case you decide to delete your reply I made sure to attach a picture of it too :
I find the size of the cages and the lack of even a single toy or natural perch extremely disappointing. It may fit minimum regulations but as a buyer ask yourself ‘would I want to buy from a seller who gives their birds the absolute minimum quality of life or one who has shown considerable care towards them?’ Bird shops range massively in the quality of life they give their birds so look elsewhere for ones who treat them with love.
The BEST bird store in Montréal! We have purchased two of our birds from there, and it is always a wonderful experience!
