Recently booked a car for an overnight trip to Sioux lookout...when I got to the airport there was a sign for AVIS with a number to call for vehicle pickup. When I called and spoke to the attendant I was informed that there was no vehicle at the airport to fulfill my reservation and that I should get a co-worker to come and pick me up, which was not an option. The attendant then told me that taking a taxi was the only option that I had. The most troubling this about the whole situation was the attendants nonchalant attitude about the whole situation. This is no way to operate a business and AVIS should be ashamed. Why take the reservation if you cannot fulfill it as there are other agencies that are available at this location. upon speaking to locals I found out that they have heard of others having the same thing happen.
