I've been dealing with Auto Home Paints forever it seems. Dave and Steve along with the team have always been excellent guiding me through everything from commercial window treatments, full automotive paint jobs, house renovations/paint and most recently, refinishing maple floors in our home. They know the Benjamin Moore line from top to bottom and always have great advice using the products. Same thing applies to the automotive lines. The floor sander they rent does a pretty awesome job for the DIY'er who does not want to use a drum sander and the Saman commercial line of water borne floor polyurethane worked like a charm. The team at AHP is always patient, pleasant and informative. You really can't go wrong. If you're looking for "cheap", maybe go elsewhere, but if want to do a job once with great results, then visit Auto Home Paints :- I've added another refinish job to my review here 2022 as once again the Auto Home team set me up with an excellent paint product to refinish our dining chair set. It's not the first time I've used "Resistant Catalysed Pigmented Varnish", however the results each time have been outstanding. Spraying works great with an HVLP gun and after a few hours of prep, the six dining chairs looked amazing. The ladies manning the paint desk took the extra time to print out and include the manufacturer's application sheets to specify the mix ratios, application notes etc. This extra touch is why I like dealing with these folks :-

I don’t normally post reviews, however I feel that this team deserves a kudos. I have been to other paint stores in Thunder Bay and have never had overly pleasant experiences. Every time I have been to this store, every employee is equally friendly and willing to help. Thank you for exceeding my expectations. Job well done!!!
I cannot believe the service received from Auto Home Paints in assisting The Haven Hostel with the beginning stages of creating our colour pallet on the exterior and interior of our building, and now, our concrete floors that look spectacular - and only are because of the one on one instruction to bullet proof them. We have had consistent hands on service from David Jones and his amazing front of house staff. Always smiling, always caring, always giving my dog treats. You know immediately they care about their client base and will go the extra mile to ensure you know what you are doing, and if you have questions they genuinely care to give you the best possible advice. A business that lets you consult every step of the way is by far the number one thing i look for in our community and I have nothing negative to say whatsoever. I also appreciate how much staff they have to assist you.
I went in to pick up paint products for work. Staff was friendly and in good humor! The supplies looked well stocked! Organized and clean! There were no issues picking up the items I needed, they even printed instructions as the cans had non. This is my first experience here and was a good one.
Great staff, great products but some are definitely overpriced, especially little fasteners for automotive use compared to some other sellers. But on the other hand I've always had a good painting experience when dealing with them.
It was a clean, comfortable, and friendly atmosphere. They had great selections of various paint related products and helpful customer service! Getting a couple gallons of exterior paint was a quick visit; in and out within 10 minutes!
Most of the staff was good but when I got help from the manager he was very ignorant and just seemed to genuinely not care. My brother and myself were not impressed. I don't recommend this place to anyone.
Dave and Steve are really helpful. I bought paint for my car and I'm not a professional but if you know how to paint you car for minor scratches and dents, I recommend this place.
