When this was Johns Chicken I raved how awesome the food was. I loved it, I posted all the time about how good it was. Then they shutdown. Rebranded and came back as Johns Austin Chicken and the food has been terrible ever since. I wonder if it is new owners. Don’t eat here it’s as simple as that. I drive twice the distance to the Pitt Meadows Austin Fish or the Coquitlam one on Austin. This location is giving the Brans Austin Fish and chips a bad name and I’m tempted to email the owners of the franchise to that effect. Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows is great fish and chips. This location the chicken and the fish is just terrible. One fish was under cooked. Feel sick. The other one was old and rubbery. The fries old and terrible. The second photo with the foot I spat out in the napkin that’s how much fries I didn’t eat becuase I couldn’t. Feel ripped of and wasted a lot of money.
I've had original chicken and sweet&spicy chicken with special onion dipping sauce! Now I can't have chicken without that super tasty onion sauce!! SUPER tender and crispy>< AMAZING!! even the day after taste like new!! so crispy and good!! All my family also love this restaurant!! I have tried all Korean fried chicken places in Downtown, Lougheed area since I am so addicted haha But Definitely this place is the BEST ever!! And one last thing I would like to add on is the price! It's really REASONABLE! The full sized chicken is good to share with 2 to 3ppl. You can have 2 different full size chicken like same price as 1 order in other places. Even the taste is better!! still so many flavours to try!! It's HIDDEN JAM place you should check out!!
I just came across this new Korean fried chicken place and they are absolutely delicious. Fried chicken is fresh and flavourful and will definitely be coming back. I noticed their google ratings are quite low but it looks like reviews are shared with the previous fish and chip place that used to be there so it’s not a true reflection on how good this place is. I definitely will be coming back! Ps maybe make a new google business account?
Just picked up some CM chicken and fries for dinner tonight. The fries are out of this world, so good ate most of them in the car on the way home… the chicken is so delicious, we will have to come back for more! Very clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Definitely check this place out!
Came in an hour before they closed, wanted to eat in, and they asked us not to. This place also doesn't do 'half and half' like most other Korean chicken places do, so it costs $4 more for the same amount of chicken. Price is also high in comparison to other korean chicken places. After a 5 minute walk home with take out, got the chicken out to eat and it wasn't crispy. The best part about korean fried chicken is how crispy it is, and CM failed here, the coating was soggy. I will give them credit for the sauces though, the two flavours we had were delicious. Incredibly disappointing though overall, especially considering the price.
I came across to this chicken place from coming back from work out of all the fast food chicken I’ve had it is the by far the best! Sauces are so tasty the chicken is very crispy, their menu has a variety of choices to choose everything on the menu making it unique definitely recommend to have a try!
Worth coming to Port Coquitlam for. Excellent service and friendly staffs! The chicken was crispy and moist. Portions were very generous and we had leftovers for later. We LOVED their onion sauce! It was so good! 10/10 would recommend
