Large complex with easy paved or gravel walking trail. Family complex with lots of different activities available including ice rink, swimming pool, basketball court, indoor waking track, climbing wall, fitness rooms, skateboard park, 3 baseball diamonds, soccer field, beach volleyball, and playground for kids. Nice area to walk around with large historical trees. Many Plants and trees have labels or signage so it’s neat to learn more about the foliage. Unfortunately the trees are very spaced out so it is not the best place to see fall colours. There are more densely populated trails in Richmond Hill that would give you a better experience of autumn colours.
Started from the Aurora sports dome, went along the Tim Jones Trail northward to St John's sideroad. Came back all the way southward to John West Way. Walked about 5km in -20°c, a typical Canadian sunny Saturday in January. Been here in Summers and Falls, defenitely different view in Winters.
Cool place with a lot of stopping points and information on plant life. Affords one a good walk on a cool afternoon.
A place of nature and nice trails within the heart of Aurora. Very popular to the residents for bicycle redes. Jogging and walking. You can also hear the sounds of Trumpet Swans in the ponds.
Nice place to take a walk. The park is relatively new, so the trees are not yet old growth trees. But it is Pleasant enough, and there is a creek. And there is a playground as well. I love that it connects so many areas, so you can really get a good hike in. Good place for bird watching too.
Great park with few trails. There are courts to play volleyball and basketball. There are picnic benches and playground for kids. Parking is free.
Spring in the North end of the park is special for me, there are hundreds of daffodils planted and they bloom as a sea of yellow in a field East of the playground, over the creek. There are plenty of sights to see over the spring and summer as other flowers and trees go to flower, but the daffodils take the cake.
My family loves to go for walks here in all seasons! The daffodils are lovely in the spring, the fields are lush and green with a variety of full, mostly labeled species of trees, mature and young. It's wonderful to visit!
Nice park with a lot of nice views and beautiful trees. I really love the colours of this park in the fall and recommend a visit there.
A nice gravel path, pond with willow tree.
