A little gem of fromagerie. Looking for a Belgian kind of strong-tasting cheese the Limburger, and not being able to find it anywhere, I inquired in this cheese shop. Although they did not carry the cheese I wanted, I was offered a similar kind of French cheese. I was offered a sliver of this cheese to taste. It was superior to the one I wanted, and the young man who served me was obliging, knowledgeable, and polite. I will always go there now.
I love this place! For me, the best Cheese Shop in Montreal. Always, I receive good attention and good services. But, what I like more is that they take the time to provide me what I’m looking for. It is a paradise cheese Love it.
I spent the better part of the past 15 minutes reading the most negative reviews as I’m always curious to see what people dislike about a shop or restaurant. Having been to this cheesemonger multiple times, I can say with confidence that most, if not all those reviews are either fake or…fake. Not only do I find the staff knowledgeable, but I never ever EVER felt unwelcome here or that I was not being served with utmost respect. This is a small business trying to survive during these difficult times. With the price of dairy up 10% in the past month, it’s not easy. So do yourself a favour, go visit le paradis du fromage. Buy local, encourage small businesses, and don’t be put off by fake reviews. Give the place a chance and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. This is definitely a gem in the Atwater market. Whether you are knowledgeable about cheese or not, Malek and his team will make you feel at home. There are cheeses for everyone’s palate. Not everyone likes unpasteurized, not everyone likes goat, or Brie, or Roquefort. But if you are vocal about what you do or don’t like, these cheese pros will have something for you and steer you in the right direction. At paradis du fromage, not only will you learn about cheese, where it’s produced, how it’s produced, how to eat it, when to eat it, but you will also feel like you are visiting a friend and being treated like family. Stop reading this cheesy review and go buy some at paradis du fromage: the city’s best cheesemonger.
LOVE this cheese shop! Their Gorgonzola and Triple cream are to die for
The owner and the staff are so nice! I was looking for some cheese for a cheese and wine romantic evening with my fiance and they recommanded me the absolute perfect products !! Beside cheese, they offer a large variety of products. You can trust me, if you go there, you won’t be disapointed !
Ignore all those ridcous reviews , I go almost every weekend Becuase the service is 10000000%/10 !! 3 years and going strong . Not pretentious and for non cheese experts like myself it’s a paradise. I always get the perfect recommendation for everything! Don’t walk run !
Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic cheese, especially some of their goat cheeses and manchegos. My new cheese spot for sure!
Really good quality cheese from around the world at incredibly low prices. The owners are nice and really do know their products.
used to go a lot when I lived closer but went recently and the entire shop experience was very... intense??? felt like I had done something wrong by just entering the shops, unsure what's changed in recent years?
Great experience. Went in looking for a cheese and got some nice recommendations. Will definitely be back.
