Located on hwy 323 South of the end of 315, the beautiful building with a windmill entrance is quite hard to ignore, especially for travelers from Ottawa on the way to Mount Tremblant. The roomy interior as well as the few patio tables and bench tables further out provide ample seating for the establishment. Beautiful decorations adorn the walls and provide a very relaxed and welcoming feel of the restaurant. We have had some of the best poutine in recent memory - great gravy consistency, flavorful yet but salty, and the balance of gravy-cheesy-fries ratio is so balanced that we finished the bowl without any extra of... Anything! I ordered a small smoked meat pizza and boy it was meaty! It is so rich that any meat lover would find the dish a joy. And the crust is of that soft crunchiness I do desire. Overall the only complaint is the limit of my stomach which is of no fault to the restaurant. With heart portions of well made dishes, adorable prices, and a relaxing atmosphere at a convenient location, this is a perfect resting stop for a warm meal
Absolutely amazing place to dine-in. We stopped here for a meal break on our way to Mont Tremblant from Ottawa. The food was good; we tried chicken club sandwiches and chicken burger. Coffee was amazing. My small little feedback could be that the coffee should be bottomless. The staff is amazing, and so is the service. The interiors are beautiful with antique looks, not to forget the restroom was neat and clean. We will surely come back!
Great place. A little loud for my liking but I guess that's a testament to how popular it is. Service was available in French and English which is always nice, but the menu is all French with no pictures, But hey if you're in Quebec learn some French words for food Pizza is good according to my wife and grand daughter though she was a little confuse about having fries on top of her pizza lol. Chicken sub was great, 9inch with a ton of fries.
100% will be back. The staff was so nice and the food was amazing!!!!!! The poutine and pizza were a hit. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
We were driving from Gatineau on our way to Mont-Tremblant and did a pit stop to grab breakfast. We ordered the Grande Omelette du Moulin which is essentially a breakfast casserole. It was delicious and filling plus reasonably priced.
Very great place to grab breakfast or lunch. Friendly food and staff. Très bonne!Food: 5/5
Best Pizza in the Lac Simon area!!! Highly recommended family restaurant Au Moulin Du Temps has the most incredible pizza with tons of high quality toppings that extend into the crust, excellent friendly service that far exceeds others in the area, and also incredible appetizers like their calamari, escargot gratinée incredible and we really enjoyed the LOCAL beers including a wonderful blonde from Montebello
Lot of deli-style options on the menu. Most likely one of the best option in a 30 minutes drive radius. There are also tables outside during the summer. We took the calamari starters and they looked like they were homeade. The smoke meat sandwich was also good. Make sure to reserve during busy nights. There was a lineup when we went on a Tuesday night.
A lovely place. I will come back on my next tripFood: 5/5
I just had breakfast here for the first time. It was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday morning. A really good diner style breakfast. Service was friendly without hovering and our coffee cups were never empty. Nice cozy, family style atmosphere. If I had to complain about something, I would say the menu is a little limited. They need a "Lumberjack Special" or something like that with pancakes/french toast/waffles + eggs + bacon/sausage. I'm very happy to have this restaurant in the neighborhood. Coming for dinner next time! *Update* - The pizza is great too! I called in an order for two pizzas for takeout. They told me it would take 20 minutes and when I arrived 20 minutes later, the pizzas had just come out of the oven red hot. The medium pizzas were around 12-14 inches and were delicious. They have an unusual feature I have never seen before. They put toppings and cheese all the way to the edge and then fold the crust over them. This gives a sort of stuffed crust effect that was really tasty. Pricing was fair. I'll be back.
