Sorry for misleading everyone that read my good review of this lawyer... The truth is i took his advice and got the Judge pissed at me! I pay child support on 2 kids (i don't agree with the amount, but what guy does in Michigan?) and spend quality time with my children every chance i get. My Ex is more than able to work but she gets disability for being bipolar... Her disability doesn't count for income when doing taxes or figuring up child support (That makes my support go up). So i feel i should be able to claim my children every year. I even tried getting her to let me claim one and her claim one because i don't want her nose in my taxes every year. But she won't, she wants me to claim both and give her half of my return... I called John and explained my situation. He agreed with me and said to bring him the same amount i was supposed to give her... Funny huh?! I explained to him that I'm supposed to give her the money that day or else she wouldn't sign the release form for the IRS. He told me to write her a check then stop payment on it and then he could get it in the court order that i could claim them AND get me the summer time visitation that i never got (i get every other weekend all summer long) which is actually more important to me... Well the day of court his whole demeanor changed! He couldn't do a damn thing and the Judge wasn't happy with me at all! I had to take out a 3 yr loan just to pay her. Anyways i got about half my money back but John made me write a good review on here before he would give me anything... I don't suggest anyone go to him at all! He's a crook! Your better off fighting for yourself! Again, I'm sorry for misleading anyone

John Bovill is the best attorney and highly recommeded. He did work for me and my charge got knocked down to something that I never knew was even possible. He is very knowledgeable and wants and does the best he can do for his clients. Throughout all this everytime I had questions or concerns John was always there to answer them. Love a lawyer you can talk to personally and not the secrataries. He's amazing. If your looking to beat your case with amazing advice and someone who actually cares John Bovill is your guy!!! John, I could not thank you more than enough for what you have done for me. THANK YOU!!!

Bovill was first hired for a criminal case and then became my divorce attorney in the mix of things. Intelligence and integrity are attributes that best describes him. He is an ethical and truthful attorney who provides good counsel and has the uncanny ability to anticipate actions of opposing attorneys. When new situations warrant, he is willing and eager to educate himself so that he is able to best represent his clients. The office staff are very knowledgeable and are always able to help when Bovill is unavailable. Very friendly environment! Hid results were beyond expectations! He's the best attorney around!! Also, he always was focused on keeping the bill down, he always tried to save me money!! Definitely would recommend him and if I ever need an attorney later in life he will be my attorney again! If you want to hire someone that charges 195 an hour, but ends up charging you more like 400 an hour by the time he is done rambling on, and inflating his time, belittles you, is hot headed, incompetent, has a high times magazine right near his desk, will threaten to walk out on you, takes no accountability for his mistakes and will throw you under the bus, then this is your guy!!!!!!!!! The only positive part of his practice is his sweetheart secretary. I'm a highly exucated individual, Dont be fooled by him! Learn from my mistake I cannot emphasize this enough, find somebody else.

Advice was good however if this guy has an opportunity to get over on you money wise he will in life it cost money when you dont know something that i understand but people will take advantage of you if you dont know something and thats all im going to say.
