This place was awesome . The staff were super friendly and also the tickets were recommended to get online as on weekends it can get busy also during Christmas times . They use zamboni for resurfacing the ice like 30 min something like that The ring easily fits like 50-60 members on go . There are also food courts surrounded . And it’s easily accessible by metro Bonaventure . They even have parking facility with tickets it’s like 7$ . Once you book your entry you can skate until it closes. They close usually around 9pm They have rental skate service as well and also lockers. It’s indoor and can get sweaty if the volume of people are high . Yet the maintenance of the ice was top notch . The staff on the ring were really good skaters looks like pro skaters . They don’t teach you how to skate yet they will assit you on the ring and make sure you like monitoring etc . It’s a public ring therefore certain rules will be there and respect other skaters on the ring. Overall it’s a happy place especially on weekend if you plan to take your family with kids they even have kid support system as well. You won’t regret it
Ice skating ain't easy, making that point very clear for those who try this out first time. I didn't grow up on the ice like some of the regulars evidently, watching a 7 year old lap you going 4 times your speed is truly humbling. Out of the rinks I've gone to, this one had it down pat. Very quick rental process with lockers for cheap, open ice with pretty basic courtesy rules. The ice staff was also very helpful and have some very good pointers, people who love their job you can tell.
Pleasant and well-maintained indoor skating rink for the whole family. As opposed to most indoor skating rinks, the air is warm, so no jacket needed - A warm sweater will do. They have skating supports for beginners and they project lights of different colours onto the ice. Bring your own skates and helmets though, their rental equipment is a little old. There is a Starbucks around the corner where you can grab a hot drink afterwards. Perfect afternoon activity if you have young children!
Nice place to ice skate, you can rent ice skates and a helmet. They also have lockers you can rent. During the week you can take classes to learn how to ice skate and they have sessions for adults only for a decent price.
A little bit crowded during the winter breaks, very warm, figure skating in the middle of the rink is authorized sometimes spin allowed, but not double jumps
I'm not sure why we paid 9.00 to enter the building, but the ice skating was fun. Ice skating is free but rental skates are 7.00 each. Melissa is friendly.
Fun indoor skating rink open year round. Warm enough in summer to skate in a t-shirt and shorts. Wasn't too busy on a Wednesday afternoon, and it wasn't loud or crowded. There's a rail around the entire rink for beginners to hold onto or people like me who haven't skated in over a decade! The skate rental is easy and lockers are secure. The only thing I'd point out, because I'd have preferred to know, is that for the 'womens skates' aka figure skates the bottom picks are ground off so since I've always previously used my own skates with more picks it was difficult to learn how to start and stop. But it does make it safer in general. Had a great time with my teen daughter on this staycation where we're exploring new things to do in our city.
They don't have refund policy and the skates are so used and olds, very uncomfortables. I tried two differents pairs of it and after that was the same. Bad expierence for a beginer, not a good sercvice too.
Do not eat at the subway's by the ice rink in the tiny food court. Not fresh. Not friendly. Condiments wilted.Needless to say, the tithe I left the porcelain gods 2 hours later was not recommended for the faint of heart. My friend also suffered the same fate eating there. 2 different subs. Same disastrous effect.
Great fun for groups, dates, friends and whomever. It's a relaxed atmosphere. They do skate rentals, sharpening, helmet and lockers. They also validate parking!
