Wow. I'm shocked by the negative reviews, because Rich's Citgo is simply AMAZING!!! Honest, fair, more than reasonably priced - this is a shop that brings integrity back into car repair. I've had my car repaired there multiple times. EVERY TIME they have done an excellent job. In fact I once had a weird kind of repair that Diego REFUSED to do for me. Why? Because he would have had to charge me parts and labor. Instead he gave me the SPECIFIC part name/model number, told me how to replace it and told me to YouTube it, and sent me to the dealership to pick it up and told me how much it was supposed to cost, too. Total repair - $6.00 in parts, 5 minutes of my time. Now THAT is honesty and integrity!!! So I took a look at those negative reviews. Here's my impression of them... Who leaves a car at a repair shop for an entire month, and be at calls to check up on it? Rich's probably thought it was abandoned!!! And the "mechanic" whose sister repaired her car there for "too much money"??? Every other review is for places in AUSTRALIA. I'm thinking that review is FAKE. And the 3rd one? Sometimes car repairs aren't resolved the first time. It happens. But it sounds like the reviewer never gave them the chance to make it right - instead, he chose to insult the person who "sits behind the desk". In my opinion, there's no need to be so nasty while leaving a review. If you're looking for a place to repair you car, this is it. Yes, you may have to wait a day or two longer for your repair. Why? Because they're busy. And they take the time to do it right. I took my car in to have a strut replaced. They saw my brakes were worn, and replaced them all. Because safety is their first concern. There's a reason this place has a "cult following" in town!!
Diego is Great. He is an honest hard working mechanic with an hourly rate well below a hundred. He did extra work on my plow truck and even had to add more parts than expected. He kept the same quoted price and I saw the work he did and was amazed at the quality. I have had a few bad overpriced car repairs in the past years at other places. I wished I take them to Diego instead. I would recommend him to anyone. Trust, Quality, and Price are all important!
Great mechanics. They are very knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable, as well as great customer service. Philip is the mechanic to see there. He worked wonders with my vehicle. Another place was charging me double. Stop here before you check anywhere else..
I am sorry to see negative comments here, so I'll tell my experience. Both of my vehicles have been repaired here. They did not do unnecessary work. On several occasions I left "carte blanche" and authorized them to replace a battery or brakes if needed. On these occasions, Diego not only told me that the work was not needed yet, but he pulled the wheels and rotated the tires at no cost. The oil changes are very inexpensive and they don't invent work to do. I find this to be a very reputable business with a well-deserved cult-like following in town. I have found them to be most trustworthy, inexpensive, and talented.
I bought a used vehicle from Rich's quite a few months back and never got around to leaving a review.. I've had some bad experiences with used car places and dealing with some pretty scummy people that sometimes come along with used car places.. Rich's Citgo was by far the best experience I have had.. The Guy who helped me, Chris, went above and beyond to show me the vehicle.. He was very kind and helpful and answered every question I had. I drove off with an AMAZING car that i purchased at a very fair pricethat they registered for me also.. I bought a 2004... a 2004 in 2020 and they sold it to me in beautiful condition, not a single repair needed to be made and I've had the vehicle for well over 6 months now.. If needed I would ABSOLUTELY buy another vehicle from them with complete trust and recommend them to anyone looking for a quality used vehicle..
Worst Ever!!! So pissed. Had my car towed there a month ago. Never touched it. Calling them and getting the runaround. Was told that Diego will call me back several times. NEVER did. My cousin recommended this place. Finally got a hold of him and said whats goung on. Its over a month. He said he tried to start it after charging the battery and didnt start. Wanted to talk to me first. But NEVER called me once. I asked him if there was gas in it? He said he didnt check. Really!!!! So pissed will not recommend this place to no one. He quoted me 400 dollars just labor. Found a place that will do the work asap 400 total with parts.
My car came out of here in worse condition than I brought it in - and the woman behind the desk Tanina? couldn't give me the time of day when I went back to talk to her about it. She just sat there like a turd staring at her computer screen when I was trying to explain my experience. Absolutely rude. I ended up having to pay for the job all over again at another shop. I would NEVER go here again, and you would be crazy to risk a repair here - call another shop.
