Askew's Foods

This Askew is not as big as the one on 11th Avenue. However, this location still has a lot of unique products that you would not find at any common grocery store. I like buying their meats, vegetarian alternatives and sometimes their sauces and seasonings. Both of the stores have the some of the same items as others that are more expensive. The staff are as great a workers as the other location. I would definitely check out this Askew store.

Askews is a decent chain of supermarkets found in the interior of BC, although they clearly don’t have the buying power of the big supermarkets they do typically have fairly good selection and as well they do try to stock and support items from local producers. Their pricing does seem to be a little on the high side and the trick to buying anything here is to watch the sales and focus on the deals in the flyers, that being said the place is impeccably clean and the staff more helpful and happier than the big stores rumour has it that they do tend to treat their staff better than other places. I often shop at Askews while watching for deals, it’s always worth a look!

Sells expired product and refuses to do anything about it when customers notice their products are over a year expired. The manager told a customer that they do not check the dates on ANY of their products. Be very careful buying anything from here that expires especially meats and dairy. Make sure you're checking the dates on everything since they've stated they don't check the dates and continue to sell expired product and rip customers off

I really like this sleepy grocery store, not the most lively of places but has more then you need. I really like the bulk cleaning supplies they have, buy as much or as little as you like.nThe sister store at the top of the hill has more selection and wider isles.

Askews is always a great experience super nice staff.
