I read all the reveiw and then i go to the place ppl were complaing abt there service its not that bad like its good but its more like desi chinese not having that more Chinese flavour u want but it was not that expensive like i order all these dishes and it cost not that much and they are giving too much food as campare to other like we bring more than half of the food home and is good but we have less halal restaurant and have alot of costumer and good work keep it up.
I ordered Chicken soups but i got veg soup I just open Parcel at home . Now there are close. I lost my money and time as well Bad service
Never eaten here, never will.. the owners themselves or whoever they contracted to discard their stores front sign dumped it in a park in South Surrey.
The food was okay, not as good as it used to be when the original owners owned the place. Service on the other hand was horrible. My husband and I waited about 15 minutes until we got our drinks and that’s only because my husband got up and went up to the server himself. When my husband asked him for drinks, the server was texting on his phone rather than being polite. After, we waited maybe 45 minutes just so we can get the servers attention to have our food pack to go, Horrible! And to top things off, when we walked in, the server was on the ground praying where everyone can clearly see if I’m plain sight.. I have nothing against religion, but at least do it in a more private place where costumers can’t see you. We had to wait until he was done 10 minutes later.. in order to be seated. Will not be returning and do not recommend this place.
We come from the USA specifically because we love the food. We ordered at 7:05 pm and were told 30 minutes for food. They brought us 2 dishes of the 9 we ordered after 40 mins. Just to keep us quiet. At 50 minutes the server was rude an unapologetic. Another customer even spoke up to reprimand her until her husband asked her to stay out of it. We received the last two dishes after we had packed up to leave. My advice - plan at least 1hr if you are ordering 2 dishes - I’m sure you guys can do the math. Unfortunately we have limited options for halal food and the ones I have visited so far have awesome food but extremely low service. It’s your call.
Horrible service, expired condiments, unfilled salt and pepper shakers, unfilled sauces, lack of professionalism, waitress doesn't even know what soy sauce was brought me packet hot sauce. No manager on-site, just poor overall. Foods good, better off doing takeout. By the time you get your second food item the first one is cold, no trained waitresses.
Food is amazing, no doubt about that. The service is slow, we saw families leaving after 40 minutes of no service. We ordered chicken wings an hour ago, I suppose it might have disappeared on its way to our table. Our little witness is just a bundle of eye rolls and attitude. Slamming water jugs and plates on our table won't make us tip you, at all. One day even the good food won't be able to make us come back. So, pros: the food and only the food. Cons; everything apart from food.
Really gone downhill. The new management has no idea what they're doing. The Food: The good is still pretty good, the portions are large and delicious. A shredded beef and Mongolian chicken with white rice can easily feed a family of 4 with leftovers and is about $40 without tip. The problem is that the flavours are all sort of the same, they have the same soy sauce base and just make it either spicy or not. The deep fried foods aren't very good, the sweet & sour chicken for example has a very battered taste and the chicken tastes old. The Service: Honestly, the nice lady they had before was really knowledgeable about the food and could make great recommendations, now they have staff who barely soeak English and don't know a thing about the food- which is frustrating. They are nice but they aren't helpful and honesty just stand there. The cleanliness: The dishes are NOT clean. I find myself cleaning with baby wipes the dirty tables and the dishes- its why the last time I went was the LAST time I go. The bathroom is okay but still need work. Because the dishes are dirty I question the hygiene. The overall: 2 stars because it was reasonable and pretty good and now its like the new management has no idea what he's doing and cutting corners to save money. I wouldn't recommend this place. There aren't a lot of good halal Chinese restaurants to be honest but skip this one for sure. If you can travel there or stomach the price tag, try Silkway in Richmond or even Green Lettuce in Surrey
I really wanted to like this place cause it looked great. I ordered through their Just Eat a couple of nights ago and paid online, but they called me to advise me that they didn't have a driver available despite the option of seeking delivery being available online. They then made me engage Just Eat directly to get a refund normally restaurants the business is supposed to give you the refund directly as opposed to me needing to reach Just Eat. Despite that I didn't hold it against them, and still gave this business another chance. I ordered from their Just Eat page again today, but refused my order stating that they were too busy. If they were too busy they shouldn't have themselves online to take orders. I engaged Just Eat to make a complaint about this being the second time, and they agreed with me on why this was frustrating. They engaged the Asian Spice restaurant owner. Rather than the owner taking any accountability, the Asian Spice restaurant owner was rude to them and told them that they would simple just cancel their account with Just Eat so that people won't be able to order their food through there anymore. This doesn't sound like a business I care to support anymore. I really wanted to eat from this place and try the food, but as a result of being denied delivery twice I can't form an opinion on their food - hence the low rating. I hope Asian Spice can learn from this and become more organized. I was planning on bringing a few out of town guests who enjoy East Indian and Chinese food if the food that they would have delivered was good, but unfortunately they have not only lost my business but the business of other people I would have brought to this restaurant. Such a shame.
Had not yet made the decision to try this restaurant, as i came to see the reviews first. After seeing very positive reviews, I started coming across some negatives. Was very disappointed to see that the owners response to at least three different people was exactly the same! Only difference was a name change once or twice. That told me his response was not genuine and scripted. Basically not hearing what the customer had to say and clearly didn't value their opinion. That being said, I'm now making the choice not to call. Management that truly cares for the customers hears them and responds individually. It's a definite appetite suppressant to see otherwise.
