Delicious Burgers and Fries, Clean washrooms, Super friendly and attentive service from Sam! 10/10, will certainly recommend to anyone hungry passing through Ashcroft.
We were coming back from basscoast festival and wanted somewhere to stop half way for something tasty so we went to Ashcroft and randomly found Sam’s diner. It’s a nice diner, very clean and great service. Sam the owner and chef is so lovely. My husband had fish and chips and I had sweet and sour chicken. We were both super happy and had clean plates! The fries are legendary … the other reviews are true. It’s a no frills kind of place but it has a lovely sense of community and does delicious food at a great price! The burgers looked good too! Looking forward to coming back and it might just become an after festival tradition for us. Tell your friends!
Beautiful place, great vibe, great service and some nicely salted onion rings! Also menu hasn't had crazy jumps in pricing due to pandemic. I would recommend to all!

We travelled from Abbotsford and demanded that we find a local establishment instead of the typical fast food choices. Sam’s Diner was kindly recommended to us by Google, and, it did not disappoint. From the moment you enter Sam’s, you are greeted by, you guessed it, Sam. Sam is an absolute beauty and one of the nicest individuals we’ve met on our journey. The fish n chips, and the burgers were marvelous. Accompanied with them were the Ashcroft-famous crispy fries. They are to DIE FOR!!!!! We highly recommend you take the opportunity to eat at Sam’s. You will not regret it.
For a tiny town like Ashcroft - this is an amazing place! Great diner fare, good atmosphere and amazing prices! What more to ask for?

Best Chinese Smorgasbord ever! We were totally satisfied with the food. Hot, fresh and great variety. Chinese tea was delicious. Even desert was good, though most of our group had to give it a miss, being too full to manage desert. You can also fill a take out box from the smorgasbord to take home, if you don't want to dine in.
Service was good. The mushroom hamburger was fresh and tasty. The chef is very good and the restaurant is very clean. The restaurant was rather bare for decorations. Some local artwork or more old photos on the walls would help greatly. We were a wee disappointed that there were only two Asian dishes on the menu. Wonton soup and Thai spicey wrap. We visited for lunch, but there is a buffet on Friday and Saturday starting late afternoons. I anticipate revisiting to check out the buffet and updating this review.
My wife and I love Sam's I really enjoy his burgers she really enjoys his sweet and sour chicken. Sam always has a friendly smile when he greets you. Definitely recommend. It's not upscale it's the perfect small village restaurant.
