Locally & family owned since 1986, we offer exceptional and timely dry cleaning and alteration services with an on-site self-serve laundromat.

Story

For nearly 30 years, Artistic Dry Cleaners & Laundromat is known for friendly, personable, and timely service. Our services include, but are not limited to: dry cleaning, alteration/tailoring/repair, wash and fold, on-site laundromat, and delivery service.

Every garment that passes through our hands is treated with great care and detail to ensure stains have been removed, buttons have been reinforced, and the clothes come out professionally pressed and looking and feeling great.

We also offer wash and fold service for drop off laundry (by the pound). We understand the importance of looking and feeling good in the clothes you're in and are proud and happy to be able to be a part of giving our customers that confidence.

Dishonest and mean! We have had good experiences here for several years but something changed. We paid for alterations on 3 new suits, brought them home and my husband was unhappy with one of the pants because it had not been altered at all. Brought it in today, the woman looked at all the suits she had altered, got very defensive saying she had not ever worked on the suits and that the sowing was bad quality and not her work. She wouldn't listen to me and I ended up having to leave with her yelling out the door after me. I am appalled at the business and will never go back!

Artistic Cleaners and Laundromat is the anchor for a little set of shops on 82nd and SE Flavel. I've been dropping off and picking up shirts here once a week for a little over four years. An older couple own/run the place and they are always friendly and efficient. You can pay cash or use debit/credit, no problems there. I usually return the wire hangers but unlike some cleaners back East, you do not get a discount for returning them :(. However, the shirts are always ready when they say, they've never damaged or lost any of mine, and the cost (about $2 a shirt depending on how many you drop off) is very reasonable. They make me look sharp! (One suggestion for anyone using a cleaners regularly: get some iron-on name tags to make their job painless.) My only small complaint is related to the location. Right on 82nd, in winter transients sometimes have hung out on the side of the building nearest the laundromat and at night can be disturbing (once I was screamed at and chased to my car) but mostly my complaint, if any, is the lack of parking... with angled parking and only 2-3 slots open it can be tight. If there is none I've used the Les Schwab lot next door. Despite that, I like these guys and the once a week inconvenience is well worth the effort they put into the results!
