My partner and I enjoyed a 6-course Valentine dinner at Artisinale. It was phenomenal! Great service, fabulous food, great wine pairing and we loved the ambience. Highly recommend the experience.
Artisanale changed the definition of comfort food for me! Always a good time when we dine in at the restaurant.
Pretty good overall, but was not impressed enough to go back for the price. The bean soup to start was quite nice. The salad second was pretty good greens with walnuts, cheese, pickled beets, and a vinaigrette, but found the flavors to be quite imbalanced on the bitter side. Ordered the steak and was expecting a proper steak, but it seems as though the steak was ground and repressed into a dense patty. It was quite tender and had good flavor, but wasn't particularly a fan of the texture particularly when expecting an actual steak. The crisp potatoes on the side were delicate and contrasted the steak pretty well. Perhaps a day with a different prix fixe menu would be better. The ambiance was really nice in the back patio, and the service was good.
Definitely one of the nicer dining settings in Guelph. The owner's passion and love for the dining experience he present shines through as he personally introduces many people who are visiting for the first time. The complimentary palette cleansers and dessert biscuits are also quite appreciated. The food is very French and provides many unique flavours and food palettes that are hard to find in other restaurants around the area. That being said, the service times are a bit slow and that is an unfortunate shortcoming. The setting is nice enough that it's still an enjoyable and comfortable meal but for some, it could be something that deters them. All in all, it's still definitely worth a try for anyone who hasn't been yet and is looking for a more upscale dining experience in Guelph!
This place was really cozy and had next level food! We went for a Sunday brunch and the food was amazingly delicious. We would have tried everything on the menu if we could! It definitely exceeded our expectations. The service was great too. Highly recommended.
After my first time going to this restaurant I was blown away by the quality, decor and atmosphere! The food is cooked very nicely but can be a bit over seasoned in my opinion and could do with less salt- especially on the duck confit. The outdoor patio in the back is perfect for summer and is totally accessible which is a huge bonus. The desserts are a star here- fresh and tasty without being too sweet. We are going to book Artisanale for our wedding reception after just one visit because it has that perfect farm to table vibe that is so endearing.
Probably the best French style restaurant outside of the metro Toronto area. We enjoyed the 5 course asparagus meal today. The asparagus ravioli was especially delicious. The food would not be out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant in Paris.
We came here for brunch on a Sunday morning. The food was fairly good - the eggs were okay, definitely some of the better poached eggs I've had in a restaurant. The waffles were excellent. The service was okay, they were friendly but could have been more attentive especially since the restaurant was almost empty except for us. The decor and ambiance of the space was lovely though, and the food was far better than anything you would get in any chain restaurant. Definitely worth trying out.
0 stars is not an option Tried to redeem a Gift Certificate for take out before they closed, placed my order in the manor required and was told they had only 1 item on their menu to order. I responded to their email but never received a response so my $100 is forfeited. Poor business for sure. Not surprised they have closed
I can’t say enough about the customer service for the Valentine’s dinner we ordered online. Due to a system error, our order was placed and accepted after the restaurant’s cut-off time. No worries - while the chef could have just refunded our money, he was determined not to leave us hungry and asked us to allow him to make it right by not only making the dinner we had ordered, but delivering it to our home - truly extraordinary service! And, the food was absolutely delicious paired with a complimentary bottle of wine!. Thank you to the team at Artisanale for providing us with a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner!!
