Story

During our 17 years in operation, Art Works Art School and Gallery has evolved and expanded its services to facilitate students of all ages, offering some of the finest and most varied art programs in the city of Toronto. Our new home has allowed us to create many exciting possibilities for students such as exhibitions in Art Works Art Gallery, access to the Frank Hoff Library and resource room for research purposes, and proposals for artist-in-residence independent studio development. Voluteer opportunities are encouraged and available to high school, university and college students through out ongoing Mentoring Program. Our not-for-profit partnership with the Ontario Student Awards Foundation offers scholarships, bursaries and other forms of financial assistance to students in the arts, under-graduate, graduate, post-graduate, research grants
and other post-secondary programs. Art Works Art School awards $2000 worth in scholarships to OCAD University students, and $500 worth of scholarships/bursaries to the Etobicoke School of the Arts, Visual Arts Program.

Mission

Art Works Art School and Gallery is a community based art school whose mandate is to introduce adults, teens, and children to the enriching world of art in a supportive and healthy environment.

Art classes for adults, teens and children including march break and summer camps, family days, community workshops, art clubs, retail art supplies, art exhibitions, birthday parties, corporate team-building and events, outreach services to public and private schools, on site art research library, portfolio building for high school, college and university, studio space rental.
