So good! Best Indian food I’ve had and I’ve had a lot, from the Twin Cities and in the Chicago area, among others. Taste was excellent, spice level was perfect we picked medium but they customize to whatever your liking, naan was fluffy, yet crispy at the same time, and this was also by far the biggest portion sizes we’ve encountered to boot. We probably ate only a third of the sauces, so plenty of leftovers to enjoy later for us!
This place is amazing, I didn't know that they were open for two years and we've been missing out...we always place our order and a second order for leftovers to eat the following day. The food is amazing and staff is nice. The only thing that sucked was the container that I was given for my left overs... when I got home all of it spilled in the bag! I would recommend this restaurant.. I ordered garlic basil naan, butter chicken, chicken vindaloo, raitha, veggie samosa, papard.. everything was so tummy you want to keep eating!
Highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Indian food, indo-Chinese options were good as well for vegetarian. We ordered baby corn Manchurian for appetizer, malai kofta for entree, garlic naan, and onion naan, and fried rice. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasty.
First I should start there were 4 of us. At one point during a wine tasting we were attending we decided to go to different Indian restaurants and try out different Biryani, this was our fist spot. We each decided to order our own meals and sharing, knowing full well we would have leftovers. Here we go! Appetizer: Cut Mirchi [Jalapenos battered with chickpea flour mixed with herbs, spices and deep-fried, Served with mint and tamarind chutneys] Aloo Tikki [Golden-fried handmade potato patty with herbs and spices served with a glaze type ketchup] Garlic Naan [pressed with topped garlic and herbs baked in clay oven} Main Dish: Chicken 65-Wet [Fried boneless cubes of chicken marinated with spices and deep fried] Chicken 65 Biryani [Basmati Rice cooked with chicken-65 in Dum style] MutterPeas Paneer [ peas and paneer in a tomato based sauce, spiced with garam masala] Goat Vindaloo [spicy Goat dish with beautiful tang and mild sweet hint. Made with lots of red chilies, vinegar, garlic and spices] The restaurant is small and it was pretty full when we arrived. The appetizers showed up pretty fast and our food came shortly after. We ended up having to pull another table up next to our booth, just for all of our food. We all were very quiet for a while, just trying all the different food and enjoying all the different flavors. Staff was nice and they were attentive. We ended up loving all of it. We were so excited to have started our Biryani journey at this restaurant.
If I could give ten stars, I would. The most gracious staff, they were very busy yet still attentive. Food came out fresh, hot and delicious. The spice level is amazing, the naan is better than anywhere else I've had it, and the prices are great. Open, airy space that was very clean. So happy we finally tried this place and can't wait to go back soon!
My spouse and I love Indian food and were really excited to try a new restaurant. The inside of the restaurant is less fancy than other Indian restaurants we've been to which is totally fine just not but we were expecting. Seating was comfortable. When the waiter greeted us he laughed at me when I said I wanted a Sprite, which I thought was very weird and little rude. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, The tandoori chicken, and lamb seekh kebab. When my spouse ordered the lamb, the waiter laughed at him and then made a weird comment about how nobody ever orders lamb and was he sure that he actually liked lamb and didn't want chicken or fish instead. We got an order of garlic naan and sides of rice to go with the entrees. We got everything at a medium spice because we've never been to this restaurant before and we've had bad experiences in the past where we've ordered something hot and it is been inedible. The medium spice had no kick to it so if you're looking for something with some heat up to the hot. The tandoori chicken was served piping hot but had almost no flavor itself. I didn't get a picture of the Tikka masala because it was delicious, we loved it and ate it before I even thought to take a photo. The garlic naan was literally just plain naan with a little bit of raw garlic chopped up and spread over the top with melted margarine, it was oily and the garlic was overpowering. The lamb seekh kebab was so salty that it was inedible. The waiter didn't check on us for almost 40 minutes. By The time he checked in we had drank all of our cans of soda and all of our water and had been sitting without anything to drink for at least 20 minutes. When we complained that the lamb was way too salty the waiter just said "well if you would have told me sooner I could have done something about it" and instead of removing it from our bill or offering a replacement he gave my spouse a mango lassi to which is not a good substitute for an entire entree. And although I didn't do it at the time I wish I would have pointed out to him after his comment that we couldn't have told him any sooner because he never bothered to check on our table. Other cons included that the Soft drinks come in a can and you pay per can and the water is served without ice and is room temperature at best. Overall, with the exception of the chicken tikka masala everything else was a major disappointment and we won't be back.
Great Indian food, specially we love the garlic naan and the goat curry. The chicken dum biryani is below our expectations without nuts. Maybe just because we ordered the wrong type.
Extremely delicious authentic Indian food. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Quality of meat and veggies was great. Amazing food with proper spice. They serve delicious hand-made parottas. Definitely recommend this place for good Indian food!!
The food and service was absolutely amazing! We ordered chicken 65 biryani, butter chicken, garlic naan and chicken samosas. The naan was so fresh and light it was gone almost instantly. Staff regularly checked in with us to make sure we enjoyed our food and it came out how we expected. I’d highly recommend to friends and would come again if visiting Minneapolis again. :-
Absolutely delicious Indian restaurant — would love to return! I got a chocolate delight milkshake, gobi 65, paneer chilli, baby corn manchurian, and egg parotta. Everything was spectacular and I enjoyed the food immensely. Vegetarian options: Lots of yummy options for vegetarians!
