Armando's Supermarket

Our food stamps PIN number was "wrong" even though mother and I never changed it. Not only that, our groceries got stolen from within the store. Uncle and I put a complaint with a lady with blonde highlights. She first said that whatever happens within the store, it's their responsibility. She later said that it is their responsibility only when it happens at the cashier registers. They didn't want to give us a refund or to give us the food we bought to compensate us. We asked if she could check the cameras. She said she couldn't. I asked politely why several times. She kept on insisting that she couldn't. I got really angry at her and raised my voice in an angry matter to give me a good explanation on to why she couldn't. She finally answered with a bitter tone that she is not allowed and called me out that I'm bitter for demanding an explanation. Another lady with clumpy eyelashes also called me out that I'm not supposed to be a jerk about it and to calm down. I was calm and only demanded an explanation. Finally, we were able to get the groceries we bought. The lady with the blonde highlights said that we were going to get a call from the person who runs the store in which never happened and that happened over a month ago.

Love that they have awesome carnitas on the weekend and menudo. Prices are decent and the customer service was very good.

This store has a weird smell to it evertime I go. The produce does not look fresh. I prefer other places in Elgin over this one definitely.

Convenient since it's around the corner. They got mostly all Hispanic food, but very pricey. Even Jewel osco is to my experience cheaper.

Spanish and English are spoken here. Great prepared foods on weekends. Always a smiling face. Great selections of food. Meat not always prepacked. 1/4 lb.1/2lb. You tell them. They have 4 or 5 butcher's. Great meat prices.
