This hotel is an absolute gem. It is super cheap and very close to downtown. I met 3 staff members and each one of them is a wonderful kind hearted soul.nnThe rooms are super spacious, bathrooms are very clean and has great hot water. I wasn’t expecting too much from the breakfast considering the price but my goodness, it turned out to be spectacular. Great vairety of juices, coffee, chocolate milk, muffins, breads, fruits, waffles, etc. The muffins were so delicious and even better than I have in Toronto lounge.nnKudos to this place and people behind them!
We're enjoying our stay here. The staff's hospitality is outstanding. Much kudos to Becky, BJ, and the housekeeping Ladies! Continental breakfast is quite sufficient with a variety of items. Our room with a kitchenette is newly and nicely renovated. The heating system keeps the whole room warm evenly. Location is convenient with shops and restaurants around the hotel. Overall it's safe and a good base for day trips nearby. We highly recommend!
Overall, the room is clean and tidy. It features decorative artwork, a large flat-screen TV, and a king-size bed with soft pillows. I was pleased to find a microwave in the room. The bathroom is bright and clean, with plenty of towels.nI was surprised to find makeup remover wipes—a pleasant surprise.nThere is a free simple breakfast served from 6 to 10 a.m., which includes hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, waffles, cereal, and bread. Beverages include two types of juice—orange and apple—as well as water, coffee, tea, and milk for cereal. There are also many types of sweet toppings fruit spreads, honey, maple syrup. For a snack, you can have fruit—bananas, apples, and sometimes mandarins.nOn the downside:n-The coffeemaker is dirty, with lime scale stains inside; it’s clear that no one has cleaned it in a long time. I left a note for the cleaning staff asking them to clean it—no one responded, which was very disappointing. I had to clean it myself just to be able to drink coffee or tea.n-The shampoo bottles were half-empty, as if they had been left behind by previous guests and no one had replaced them.n-There is no safe for storing valuables.
The staff are very welcoming and will meet all your needs. The hotel in transition of being renovated, so have to expect bit of noise after 9-9:30 a.m. I didn’t mind work has to get done. The room upgrads a great change for future guest, they are lovely. Beds are comfortable, house keeping could make sure fridge cleaned, and carpet vacuumed. No car, location a problem, far from downtown$50 a day on taxi to get downtown to and from.I would rate 5stars for everything except location as I had no car.Rooms huge,bath- renovated,micro-wave great, store, fast food shops convenient. Staff the best.can’t comment on breakfast, never eat breakfast, saw many others enjoying it,as I went out for the day.
The staff were nice and helpful in the few interactions I had, and room service was okay. Breakfast was very basic, just some fruit and muffins, but at least it was available.nnThat said, the building is clearly old and it shows. The room and hallways felt very dark, and the carpets were badly stained, which gave the place an overall feeling of not being very clean. The room had a kitchen, which is convenient, but the appliances and equipment looked very old and worn out.nnThe maintenance also seemed lacking. The shower faucet felt like it could break at any moment, the bathroom vent was pretty nasty, the windows looked dirty, and the old AC unit had a lot of dust and broken buttons.nnThe location is convenient if you want fast food nearby, but it also felt a bit sketchy. It’s right next to a club, so noise was definitely an issue.nnNothing terrible happened during my stay, but for the money, I think we could have stayed somewhere newer, cleaner, and better maintained.
