Coming from someone who used to work in the pet industry... this store is unbeatable. Stemming away from the conventions of Hagen, a lot is accomplished by getting straight to the point without the wasted ink on the fancy labels. All of my special orders come from here, because anything you want; they get. From live-caught fish to exotic and rare plants, this is the place to go. Simply fantastic.
The tanks are not as nice as you might find at Nature or other big box stores but they are clean and the staff have always been very helpful and friendly. I find many "pet store" employees have little knowledge about fish/aquariums and just tell you what you want to hear in order to sell more products. On a couple of occasions, they've even suggested free alternatives for problems I was having rather than pushing in-store items. Prices are comparable to many other stores and it offers alternatives which is always a plus for the consumer. I won't pay more just to shop there but if given a choice, they are my first stop.
Ok, hands down best selection for fish supplies in Quebec, you can find stuff here that you can't find anywhere else, like the chain stores who are owned by hagen... also for pricing, unbeatable. Staff? Amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, polite. And best part of this store is they all speak perfect ENGLISH! I'm so sick of going into stores or calling stores and speaking to french people, with their horrible grasp on the English language which is universal in canada. So all in all. 5 stars.
